Davanni’s Pizza: New ObamaCare taxes and mandates will cost us $200,000 a year. May have to close three locations to get around costly regs
Posted by iusbvision on March 30, 2010
The Daily Caller:
Davanni’s, a local pizzeria-sandwich restaurant with 22 locations around the Twin Cities, will now have to comply with this mandate. A caller to my Saturday show (who wished to remain anonymous) told my radio partner Mitch Berg during a commercial break that it will cost Davanni’s approximately $200,000 to comply with the new mandate — just to start. Every menu change will require Davanni’s to have the new or modified items re-analyzed, which means that Davanni’s will probably resist adding new options for their customers. Meanwhile, larger chains with more economy of scale for such efforts such as Pizza Hut can do the tests once for all of their locations, keeping their prices lower for their customers — which they already do, thanks to consumer demand for the information.
Under those circumstances, will Davanni’s feel compelled to keep the extra three locations open, or to scale back to 19 to avoid the mandate? Even if they do keep all of their locations, that $200,000 will now get spent on something other than new jobs for teenagers and adults, and customers will pay higher prices for their food. Local and regional chains with 15-19 locations have a big economic disincentive to expand any further. I don’t know much about Davanni’s bottom line, but I’m pretty sure that even though they make some of the best pizza and hoagies in the area, they don’t have $200,000 lying around the pizza sauce to blow on lab analyses this year, or any other.

9 Charged In Student’s Bullying Death – The Public Schools Administrators Knew; Refused to Follow Rules
Posted by iusbvision on March 30, 2010
As I have seen on campus time and time again, and as groups like FIRE, the ACLU and the Alliance Defense Fund have seen repeatedly, when it comes to government school administrators it often takes some type of force or coercion to get them to follow their own rules or even simply obey the law.
Government administrators are not accountable to students or parents, union schools are worse in this regard. They behave as if the school exists to pay them a five or six figure salary. The welfare of the administration is paramount and the welfare and rights of the students is only a priority so far as it never conflicts with the whims and conveniences of the administration. This is a pattern of behavior that can be shown time and time and time again as you will all see in my upcoming book.
So now we have the latest tragic example of what government union run schools bring us. This perfectly lovely young girl is dead in large part because the public school faculty and administration, who was well aware of what was going on, repeatedly broke their own rules regarding bullying and assault and did nothing.
WCVB Boston:
NORTHAMPTON, Mass. — Nine teenagers have been charged in connection with the suicide death of South Hadley High School student Phoebe Prince, 15, who took her life after she was bullied by other students at her school, Northwestern District Attorney Elizabeth Scheibel said Monday.
“The investigation revealed relentless activity directed at Phoebe,” in the three months before her death, Scheibel said, until the situation became “intolerable” for the girl.
Prince, a student at the school whose family had recently moved to the U.S. from Ireland, took her own life in January, authorities said, after she was bullied for three months both at school and online by other students.
“It appears that Phoebe’s death on Jan. 14 followed a tortuous day for her in which she was subjected to verbal harassment and threatened physical abuse,” Scheibel said.
The district attorney said according to the investigation, which involved interviews with more than 50 people, on the day of her death Prince was harassed as she studied in the school library, and as she walked in the school hallways and later as she walked home.
The bullying in the library was witnessed by a faculty member and other students but was not reported until after Prince’s death, Scheibel said, adding that the bullying of Prince was “common knowledge” at the school.
It gets worse…
BOSTON (CBS/AP) School officials at South Hadley High School didn’t follow all the anti-bullying advice they were given months before 15-year-old Phoebe Prince committed suicide, according to a consultant who offered the tips.
Barbara Coloroso said she consulted with parents and administrators months before the harassed freshman hanged herself in January.
Police say she endured months of verbal assaults and threats, mostly in school and in person, although some of the bullying occurred on Facebook and in other electronic forms.
“The questions to ask are: Did they follow their own rules and did they keep Phoebe safe? Obviously not. And, did they deal effectively with the bullies? Obviously not,” Coloroso told The Associated Press Tuesday.
Nine students face charges in connection with the girl’s death, including two teen boys charged with statutory rape and a clique of girls charged with stalking, criminal harassment and violating Phoebe’s civil rights.
School officials won’t be charged, even though authorities say they knew about the bullying.
South Hadley High School is located in South Hadley, Mass., about 90 miles east of Boston.
You see this is where I have a problem. If it were up to me the school officials would be charged, dragged off in irons and perp walked in front of the media. This is also a big argument against union run government schools, why would you entrust your children to a group of people who are immune from civil lawsuits. Are these the kind of government union types you want running our health care?
In Massachusetts, public anger was turning from the Mean Girls – so mean they left vicious comments on Phoebe’s Facebook memorial page – to the teachers who repeatedly failed to protect Phoebe, but were not charged criminally.
District Attorney Elizabeth Scheibel said Phoebe’s persecution was “common knowledge” at the school, and even witnessed by teachers, who said nothing.
Her mother had twice asked school officials to help put a stop to her daughter’s misery, Schiebel said.
The day she killed herself, a teacher saw kids harassing Phoebe in the school library – but said nothing until after the suffering girl’s body was found hanging in her home.
…
Former prosecutor Wendy Murphy, who has been vocal about weaknesses in a proposed new Massachusetts anti-bullying law, said she was stunned that the DA “didn’t have the guts” to charge the adults at the school.
“I’m just incredulous that this prosecutor would see fit to bring huge charges against the kids – which is good – but do nothing to the teachers. That juxtaposition is shocking,” Murphy said.
Referring to the Massachusetts “public duty rule” that bars schools and teachers from being sued for what students do, Murphy said of Scheibel, “because she knows they can’t be sued civilly, she had an extra responsibility to charge them criminally.”
Massachusetts state Rep. John Scibak, who represents South Hadley, told ABC he was shocked at “what the adults knew and didn’t act on.”
“This is a very serious allegation and one that really needs to be investigated,” Scibak said.
School officials did not return calls.
It is so much easier to just deny that your union school doesn’t have a bullying problem, or a drug problem etc. Heck to make the problem go away it is so much easier to blame the victim isn’t it? That is how it was when I went to public school so many years ago. Obviously the union mentality hasn’t changed.
All the school officials had to do was exercise common sense, but no, so now the state has to impose common sense on school officials by force. The Massachusetts House just unanimously passed new anti-bullying laws. Should it take now a second, more forceful round of new laws to do what any decent person would have done to put an end to this? This is what the union mentality and the bureaucratic mentality does. Remember these school officials are paid five and six figure salaries to excercise good judgement, but as has been shown countless times they just won’t.

Tea Party Signs vs. Pro Obama March Signs: You be the judge.
Posted by iusbvision on March 30, 2010
Via Pajamas Media and Republican Heretic:
In both cases, citizen journalist bloggers were on hand to document the proceedings with eye-opening photo essays:
El Marco: Tea Party Express rally, Searchlight, March 27
Ringo: Anti-war rally, Los Angeles, March 20
Two rallies, not very far apart in time or location — and yet they couldn’t be more different.
I consider myself neither left-wing nor right-wing, and I disagree with one side or the other on various issues — but after viewing these images, I don’t think there’s any question where I’d feel more at ease.
Below is a sampling of images from each rally. (Click on the links above for the full reports.) Scan them and tell me: At which rally would you feel more comfortable?
Show this essay to people you know who are liberals, or conservatives, or middle-of-the-roaders, and ask them: In all honesty, if you had to choose to be associated with the protesters at either rally, which would make you least embarrassed?

Historic Political Realignment Likely in Upcoming Elections
Posted by iusbvision on March 29, 2010
Perhaps the only way around that is to rig the election by giving illegals amnesty and get them to vote Democrat. We learned about these political realignment in Dr. Parker’s political science class.
…the country had suffered under the New Deal for fourteen years, and Americans, understandably, were fed up. Moreover, as Michael Barone pointed out last May, “After World War II Democrats wanted to retain wartime high taxes, pro-union labor laws, and wage and price controls, all manipulatable for political benefit by political insiders. Republicans . . . won big enough majorities to lower taxes, revise labor laws and abolish controls.”
Abraham Lincoln once observed, “Public sentiment is everything. With public sentiment, nothing can fail; without it nothing can succeed.” It is possible, of course, that events will intervene between now and November. It is conceivable that the healthcare bill and the manner in which it was passed in both the Senate and the House will be forgotten. But this is not likely. If the Republicans stick together, mount a principled opposition to the Obama administration on all fronts, and recruit first-rate candidates to run in every district at both the state and the federal levels in November, it is highly likely that there will be a political earthquake in this country on a scale not seen since 1932.
As I have argued now for months – first, in August, here; then, in November, here and here; and, more recently, here, here, and here – a genuine political realignment may be in the offing. This has happened at irregular intervals in our nation’s past – most notably, in 1800, 1828, 1860, and 1932 – and on each occasion the political party benefiting from the upheaval was able to paint a plausible picture depicting their opponents as being parties to a conspiracy to overthrow the liberties possessed by their fellow Americans. This is what Thomas Jefferson did to the Federalists in and after 1800; it was what Andrew Jackson did to John Quincy Adams, Henry Clay, Nicholas Biddle, and the Whigs in and after 1828; it was what Abraham Lincoln and the Republicans did to the slave power conspiracy and its fellow travelers in the North in and after 1860, and it was what Franklin Delano Roosevelt did to Herbert Hoover and the business-minded progressives in and after 1932. When FDR claimed, at the 1936 Democratic convention, that “a small group” of his fellow Americans was intent on concentrating “into their own hands an almost complete control over other people’s property, other people’s money, other people’s labor – other people’s lives,” he was merely rephrasing the charges lodged in an earlier time by Jefferson, Jackson, Lincoln, and their political allies.
More -
If the Republicans have a comparable opportunity in 2010 and 2012, it is because of what I described in my very first blogpost as “Obama’s Tyrannical Ambition.” Barack Obama has a gift. He has told us so himself, and he is right, but he errs in supposing that his oratorical skill will enable him to fool all of the people all of the time, and over time he has, in effect, unmasked his own party as a conspiracy on the part of a would-be aristocracy of do-gooders hostile to very idea of self-government in the United States. There is no need for me to review the record of the Obama administration and the Democratic Congress in the last fifteen months. It is enough to say that, in an administration that promised transparency, everything has been negotiated behind closed doors in a manner suggestive of tyranny and that, in an administration that promised to distance itself from the lobbyists, every major bill has been written by them and is loaded with special deals that give new meaning to the old phrase “corrupt bargain.” The stimulus bill, cap-and-trade, healthcare reform: with these Barack Obama, Rahm Emanuel, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid have brought home to the American people, as never before, the tyrannical propensities inherent in the progressive impulse. Thanks to them, everyone now knows that there is no such thing as a moderate Democrat.
From the “Obama’s Tyrannical Ambition.” link:
Back in 1912, when Woodrow Wilson successfully ran for the presidency, he told his compatriots, “We are in the presence of a new organization of society.” Our time marks “a new social stage, a new era of human relationships, a new stagesetting for the drama of life,” and “the old political formulas do not fit the present problems: they read now like documents taken out of a forgotten age.” What Thomas Jefferson once taught is now, he insisted, quite out of date. It is “what we used to think in the old-fashioned days when life was very simple.” Above all else, he hoped to persuade his compatriots to get “beyond the Declaration of Independence.” That document “did not mention the questions of our day,” he told them. “It is of no consequence to us. It is an eminently practical document, meant for the use of practical men; not a thesis for philosophers, but a whip for tyrants; not a theory of government, but a program of action”–once of use, outdated now.
Sound familiar?

UPDATE – Man who threatened Andrew Breitbart identified and he is connected to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. Via Big Government:
Last night we received an email from blogger Liberty Chick potentially identifying the man who threatened Andrew Breitbart:
Can’t say 100% but I think the dude from Searchlight that threatened Andrew (said to keep him away from him or “I’m goin to jail”) might be Jim Nardi, who belongs to a whole slew of progressive groups in Nevada, for example:

You have to listen and watch really carefully – at 1:51 in that video, the black guy in the dark wool cap & dark coat on the right (holding the rolled up American flag) says “Come on, Jim” and holds him back just as he steps in between the “or I’m goin to jail” guy and Andrew to try and calm the situation. You have to listen a few times to hear it.

UPDATE – Albemarle County, Virginia GOP Headquarters Attacked
Via RepublicanHeretic:
Oh drat and curses, those evil, hateful, ignorant, racist teabaggers must have whipped up a call to violence yet again!
Oh, wait, it was a GOP office in Virginia that was vandalized. Yawn. Move along, nothing to see here.
Well, at least the local paper covered it.
Bricks were thrown through the windows of the Albemarle County GOP headquarters overnight in what appears to be the Charlottesville area’s latest act of politically fueled vandalism. County GOP Chairwoman Rachel Schoenewald arrived at the office in the Albemarle Square shopping center Friday morning to find two windows shattered and a third partially damaged.
“Hopefully, everyone will conduct themselves as community members and that this violence does not escalate or continue,” she said. The county’s GOP headquarters also serves as the district office of Del. Rob Bell, R-Albemarle. Schoenewald declined to blame any particular group, but noted that people are angry on both sides of the political spectrum.
“There are millions of people across the country,” she said. “Many of them are upset, one way or another. I hope this is the last of the violence.” Albemarle County police are investigating the incident. Police estimated the damage would cost roughly $1,000 to fix. Police asked anyone with information about the vandalism to call Crimestoppers at 977-4000.
The shattered windows come five months after someone glued shut the GOP headquarters’ doors on Election Day when Republican Bob McDonnell defeated Democrat R. Creigh Deeds in Virginia’s gubernatorial race.

A partial list of Republican proposed health care bills
Posted by iusbvision on March 29, 2010
We wrote a review of one of the lastest GOP alternative bills HERE.
Here is a short list of some of the GOP proposed health proposals from the Washington Examiner:
A search of the LexisNexis database of newspapers, magazines, television programs and major blogs finds about 3,000 mentions of the major House Democratic bill, H.R. 3200, in the past six months. (Those are just the stories that refer to the bill by its House number; there have been thousands more stories referring generally to the Democratic legislation.) A similar search found 60 mentions of H.R. 3400, the Price bill.
Another Republican bill, H.R. 2520, the Patients’ Choice Act, by Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, received 12 mentions in the same time period. And two other bills, H.R. 3217 and H.R. 3218, the Health Care Choice Act and the Improving Health Care for All Americans Act, by Rep. John Shadegg, together received 20 mentions.
The virtual embargo on reporting Republican legislation has allowed Democrats and their allies in the media to keep up the “Republicans have no plan” attack. Just hours after the president’s speech, for example, the Democratic National Committee released a new commercial claiming that Republicans “refuse to offer a plan” to reform the health care system.
Just for the record, in case you want to check them out, these are the bills proposed, so far, by Price and his allies in the House: H.R. 77; H.R. 109; H.R. 198; H.R. 270; H.R. 321; H.R. 464; H.R. 502; H.R. 544; H.R. 917; H.R. 1086; H.R. 1118; H.R. 1441; H.R. 1458; H.R. 1468; H.R. 1658; H.R. 1891; H.R. 2520; H.R. 2607; H.R. 2692; H.R. 2784; H.R. 2785; H.R. 2786; H.R. 2787; H.R. 3141; H.R. 3217; H.R. 3218; H.R. 3356; H.R. 3372; H.R. 3400; H.R. 3438; H.R. 3454; and H.R. 3478.
“It’s frustrating,” Price says. But Republicans believe that in the end, the public won’t buy the administration’s line. “The American people are smarter than that,” Price says. “They know there are alternatives out there. That’s what August was all about.”

How Media Manipulation Works: The careful out of context use of the film edit
Posted by iusbvision on March 29, 2010
Via Black & Right:
In this video you can see Ann Coulter answering the question about killing muslim terror leaders and converting them to Christianity. There is indeed much historical context to this as we have done this in Japan, Germany and South Korea. What the elite media did, to slander Miss Coulter, is to take a question from one student, edit out the thoughtful answer, snip to the video and Ann giving a flippant response to a heckler, but make it look like Ann answered the student’s question with the flippant comment.
This is full-blown journalistic malpractice and the elite media is happy to run with it. Here is the elite media clip followed by the REAL clip of what happened.
UPDATE - Via McLean’s Magazine:
Fatima Al Dhaher, the poor wee thing traumatized by Ann Coulter’s camel joke at the University of Western Ontario, was a member of a Facebook group called “It’s Called Palestine Not Israel,” committed to the elimination of the Jewish state and regarding its present occupants as “subhuman” “zionazis/kikeroaches.” I have no objection to Miss Al Dhaher pursuing her extracurricular enthusiasms, but she would seem, even for Canada, too parodic a poster gal for “restraint” and “civility.”

Sean Penn: “Those who critique Hugo Chavez should go to jail”. Maria Conchita Alonso responds.
Posted by iusbvision on March 29, 2010
You could tell that Fox & Freinds was behind on the clock because Alonso sorda got cut off, and I hate it when that happens, but a good video and here is her open letter.
Alonso:
Dear Sean, WHY?
Even though I have great respect for your artistic talent, I was appalled by a recent television interview where you vigorously showed support for the regime of Hugo Chavez. Therefore, I’ve decided to set the record straight for you regarding the Chavez regime, supporting my case based not only on my political ideologies, but on proven facts you choose to ignore. Otherwise, I believe your position would be different.
Being born in Cuba, a country where freedom of speech is non-existent, it’s startling to observe how Venezuela, where I was happily raised, is fast becoming Cuba’s mirror image: Dismantling of fundamental democratic rights deserved by its people and citizens of the world.
For example, you said that all Chavez-winning elections in Venezuela were “transparent.”
Then WHY didn’t the government allow a manual recount of the votes and computer information when doubt set in? After all, how do you explain how these votes that were strongly favoring the opposition mysteriously reflected the opposite results the morning after, thus permitting Chavez to continue on? On what are you basing your conclusions? I strongly recommend that you read a report by the U.S. State Department written in 2009 entitled “The Fraudulent Elections in Venezuela”.
We live in a Republic comprised of three autonomous branches of government: Supreme Court, Congress and Executive, thus, a true democracy.
Then WHY do you accept violations by part of the government of Venezuela to ignore its Constitution whereby one man, military-educated Chavez, controls all branches of government? His military background is revealed by his philosophy: “I order, you obey and if you disagree you’re a traitor to the country.” And your voice is silenced along with the ability of freethinking. Did you know solely the government controls 92% of media communications?
You’ve strongly criticized your own governments’ overspending and corruption, whereby the budget for We the people never ends up in the hands of those who need it most.
Then WHY do you support a government with over $100 million in oil revenue that has 71% poverty? Or don’t you know that corruption is so rampant that the rightfully deserving poor never sees a “red cent”? In addition, the fact is that Chavez gives away millions of dollars; belonging to the Venezuelan people, to other countries in order to build a false sense of philanthropy of a man whose self-proclaiming ego is blinded by power behind a communist Cuban-style revolution, expanding such regime.
We live in the U.S.A., the land of opportunity to do and say what we desire, respecting dissenting points of view, of course and without reprisals.
Then WHY do you defend a government whose stronghold upon its people is so oppressive that a big price is paid for exercising freedom of speech: Persecutions, closing of radio and television stations, jail…and even death?
You are fortunate enough to live in a country where you can buy property and claim it as your own to do whatever you want with it.
Then WHY do you promote the interests of a government that violates the Constitution by hindering the possibility of development: Land, industries, commerce, communications companies, foreign investment opportunities, financial institutions and private property? This is an everyday scenario in Venezuela.
Then WHY haven’t you informed yourself on these facts by reading Venezuelan and international newspapers exposing thousands of cases?
Given your sense of community and respect for all people, I think you would defend the security of the citizens in your country.
Then WHY do you validate a government that has converted Venezuela into the second most dangerous country in the world, where impunity is above 90% and its people live in a constant state of stress and fear of getting killed? Many wonder if this situation isn’t but a diabolic strategy by the part of the government, something to think about. Do you know that the weekend of March 13th there were 67 counted homicides only in Caracas? Furthermore, in the first 50 days of this year, there have been 140 express kidnappings for fast money (a 50% increase in 2009 versus previous years). After 11 years of the Chavez government, more than 16,000 people has been murdered by armed gangs and we’re not even at war like in the Middle East.
In the U.S.A. the arm of the law comes down hard on government or private sector where cases of fraud and corruption are discovered.
Then WHY do you defend a politician who promised to sweep corruption, but has ended up sponsoring illicit enrichment by part of his closest allies and civil servants, placing Venezuela as the most corrupt country in the Americas and in its political history? Corruption has increased 68% and inflation 31% in 2009. What a coincidence, Sean that the majority of those “corruptors” are members of the government you have chosen to embrace.
You’ve demonstrated admirable assistance to those in need, due to natural disasters or poverty, those with desperate pleas to get their misfortune exposed for the whole world to see.
Then WHY do you applaud the efforts of a government that has notoriously increased poverty (65% to 71%), produced scarcity of staple products and created an energy and water shortage crisis never seen in Venezuela? Not to mention the numbers of children begging in the streets. You may have missed it because the government tends to take the scenic routes for its guests. I invite you see the real Venezuela, stay for a couple of weeks without the logistics the government of said country organizes for you and you’ll be amazed with the results in your unaided observations.
Sean, you live in a country where your parents had the freedom to teach you principles and respect for entities and human beings, where education hasn’t been manipulated by political agendas of those in power.
Then WHY are you in favor of a country where day after day education isn’t plural by obligating a single-minded agenda and lack of respect for family structure? Did you know Sean that in Venezuela there is political indoctrination at a very early age, better known as “brainwashing”? And let me tell you that if parents don’t agree, they will lose custody of their children, just like in Cuba, a country you’ve placed on a pedestal.
You are a product of a Jewish father.
Then WHY is your fascination with a government that has overtly stated its hatred against the Jewish community worldwide, to the extent that the State of Israel condemned anti-Semitic attacks in Venezuela? Do you think it’s fair that many Jewish-Venezuelan families have emigrated because the Chavez government robbed their personal files when their temples and offices were under attacked in 2008?
I don’t think so, Sean, that you would support violence as a means to impose your agenda.
Then WHY do you support a government with close relationships with FARC, ETA, Cuban G-2, Government of Iran, Al-Qaeda and Hezbollah, among others, which are the most feared terrorist movements in the world?
You have said that you applaud the actions that Chavez has instituted for his “pueblo”.
Then WHY do you back him up when he himself has recently publicly recognized his failure for effective social programs (missions) in the areas of education, social service and hospitals; where each day the number of the uncared rises for lack of appropriate facilities and respective upkeep, and a country where the mothers give birth in the streets? This you can see on YouTube in investigative programs run on German, Swedish, Italian and Spanish television stations.
Sean, have you considered researching the existence of the growing list of political prisoners, including journalists, on your own? For your information Chile, Peru and Costa Rica has that data. Furthermore, many of these prisoners are tortured and their families persecuted and threatened, just like the Cuba you stand up for.
Is that what you support when you publicly declare that all those that say that Chavez is a dictator should go to jail?
Sean, you have the right to say what you want, but as far as I know, your statements are contradictory to “Freedom of Speech”, the same one you enjoy in this country; by coincidence, “The First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America.”
My intention isn’t to convince you, but to let you know what is truly happening in this beautiful country of noble people, Venezuela. I would encourage you to investigate in depth the “inside story” and realize for yourself the dark side behind the person you choose to idolize.
Agreed, Chavez did win his first elections, but like Hitler, he betrayed what the country gave him: The vote of confidence.

Six months ago they said we were nuts, now they admit we are correct on ObamaCare
Posted by iusbvision on March 29, 2010
As we have stated previously and other analysis has also explained (LINKS 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7), this ObamaCare bill is designed to make our health care so expensive that we “cry out for a public option” as Nancy Pelosi said. The left said we were nuts, but now Al Sharpton, some on MSNBC are using the “S word” (socialism) openly going so far as even saying that socialism is what Obama campaigned on….
Obama on the transition process to nationalized health care.
More:
Obama saying how he would do health care different form the Clinton’s, notice the transparency and process he is describing was never seriously attempted.
So six months ago we were “nuts” and now some on the left admit that we are right. Of course if one were still in denial over this and believes the video’s and information links above are totally innocent coincidences, at the very least you must admit that Obama gives very different messages when he is in front of different groups, showing that he is just a typical politician willing to tell you anything you want to hear at the time.
This one is just a bonus, definitely worth the 5 minutes. This video is from a left-wing, union supporting Obama voter who came to the realization that his president just doesn’t tell the truth. The shame is that this guy who is just waking up, doesn’t realize that this ObamaCare bill regulates the insurance industry in such a way that it is designed to blow them up and make health care costs skyrocket; using the Alinsky model they will blame capitalism and freedom for the problems they created and offer a government take over as the solution. -

The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency.
Posted by iusbvision on March 29, 2010
“The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president.
“The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince.
“The republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”

Stupak’s “Pro-Life” Caucus $4.7 Billion in Earmark Funds after Voting for Public Funding of Abortion
Posted by iusbvision on March 28, 2010
The myth of the pro-life Democrat continues…
The Sunlight Foundation (hat tip HotAir):
A day after Rep. Bart Stupak, D-Mich., and ten other House members compromised on their pro-life position to deliver the necessary yes-votes to pass health care reform, the “Stupak 11″ released their fiscal year 2011 earmark requests, which total more than $4.7 billion–an average of $429 million worth of earmark requests for each lawmaker.
Of the eight lawmakers whose 2010 requests were available for comparison, five requested more money this week than they did a year ago: Rep. Jerry Costello, D-Ill., Rep. Kathy Dahlkemper, D-Pa., Rep. Joe Donnelly, D-Ind., Brad Ellsworth, D-Ind., and Rep. Charles Wilson, D-Ohio.
The eleven members were the focus of high level pressure by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other top Democrats because they threatened to vote against the health care reform bill, which passed the House on Sunday, March 21, by a seven vote margin. Granting earmark requests are one of the ways leadership can encourage members to vote their way.
Stupak requested more than $578 million in earmarks, including $125 million for a replacement lock on the Sault Ste. Marie, $25.6 million to build a federal courthouse in Marquette, Mich., $15 million to repaint the Mackinac Bridge and $800,000 to preserve the Quincy Mining Company smelter near Hancock in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

Democrats inciting violence against Republicans Part IV, more calls for the death of Beck, Limbaugh and O’Reilly – UPDATED!

[Be sure to See Part I and Part II and Part III, Part V in progress. The other posts were getting so huge that I could not just keep updating them till they took up 5 feet of page space each, so time to start number four. Like the other three this will be continually updated - Editor]
UPDATE II – Left wing antisemite threatens life of GOP Congressman. Obviously this man was whipped up by the lies and false witness the elite media and the Democrats have been launching against Republicans. By the way, no Tea Party participants have been arrested or even credibly accused of violence, yet we have case after case as outlined in these four posts of violence against Tea Party participants and several arrests of SEIU Union/Obama HCAN thugs have been made, yet the elite media narrative says it is the Tea Party who is violent.
Mini Update – Suspect is a DNC donor! – LINK. Where is the elite media screaming from the walls now?
Federal authorities have arrested a Philadelphia man and charged him with threatening to kill House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) and his family.
Norman Leboon will be charged with two federal counts: threatening to kill Cantor and interfere with his federal duties and posting video online containing such threats. He is scheduled to appear in federal district court in Philadelphia Monday afternoon.
The arrest is the most serious in a string of threats of violence against lawmakers in wake of the divisive health care vote. At least 10 Democrats along with a handful of Republicans, including Cantor, reported threats of violence over the past week.
“At this time, the congressman will have no further comment on this threat or the investigation, and asks that inquiries be directed to the Federal Bureau of Investigation,” said Cantor spokesman Brad Dayspring. “The congressman is deeply grateful for, and would like to dearly thank all local and federal law enforcement involved, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, U.S. Attorney’s Office in Virginia and Philadelphia, U.S. Capitol Police and the Henrico Police Department in Virginia.”
In a video posted on YouTube, Leboon said Cantor was a “liar, you’re a Lucifer, you’re a pig, a greedy [expletive] pig.” He referred to a bullet found in Cantor’s office last week and said it will be placed in his head.
Leboon faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted of both charges.
According to an FBI affidavit, the investigation moved swiftly. On March 26, the FBI’s San Francisco office got a copy of a YouTube video, where Leboon allegedly made threats to kill Cantor and his “cupcake evil wife.”
The video makes reference to Cantor’s Judaism and a bullet that was fired into his Richmond office.

Bricks were thrown through windows of a Republican Party office in the Charlottesville area late last week in an act that seemed similar to incidents of political vandalism reported elsewhere.
The damage in Charlottesville was discovered Friday morning at the headquarters of the Albemarle County Republican Committee, committee vice chairman Eric Seitz said Sunday.
Seitz said two bricks came through windows at the party’s offices on Albemarle Square on Thursday night or early Friday. A third damaged a window of an office used by Virginia Del. Robert B. Bell (R-Charlottesville) in the same building, Seitz said.
Seitz said the building’s windows are made of “very thick” double-pane glass and probably required considerable force to smash.
Upon seeing the bricks inside, he said: “Wow. . . . Somebody was very angry.”
County police confirmed that windows were broken. They said Sunday night that no arrests had been made.

Personal Income Drops Across United States. Companies Rolling Back in the Face of Massive ObamaCare Taxes, Florida Unemployement at Record High
Posted by iusbvision on March 28, 2010
Companies are already talking about what rollbacks in pay and benefits they can offer in light of ObamaCare. Things continue to get worse.
Personal income in 42 states fell in 2009, the Commerce Department said Thursday.
Real Time Economics
How state personal income changed in 2009 from 2008.
Nevada’s 4.8% plunge was the steepest, as construction and tourism industries took a beating. Also hit hard: Wyoming, where incomes fell 3.9%.
Incomes stayed flat in two states and rose in six and the District of Columbia. West Virginia had the best showing with a 2.1% increase. In Maine, Kentucky and Hawaii, increased government benefits, such as unemployment insurance and Social Security, offset drops in earnings and property values.
Nationally, personal income from wages, dividends, rent, retirement plans and government benefits declined 1.7% last year, unadjusted for inflation. One bright spot: As the economy recovered, personal income was up in all 50 states in the fourth quarter compared with the third. Connecticut, again, had the highest per capita income of the 50 states at $54,397 in 2009. Mississippi ranked lowest at $30,103.
Florida Sun Sentinal -
Florida‘s unemployment hit 12.2 percent in February, the highest rate on record, soaring past even the rates recorded in the 1973-1975 recession, the state work force agency said Friday.
February’s rate rose a 0.2 percentage point from the January revised rate of 12 percent. More than 1.26 million people are out of work in the state.
In South Florida, the unemployment rate remained nearly level in February with a month earlier, with Broward County at 10.8 percent compared with a revised 10.9 percent for January; Palm Beach County at 12.4 percent compared with a revised 12.5 percent; and Miami-Dade County at 11.2 percent, up from a revised 11.0 percent in January.
Unemployment in all three counties is still up significantly from the same month a year earlier, when the rates ranged from 8.0 percent to 8.3 percent.
Florida’s unemployment is now near the peak of 12.3 percent forecast for midsummer, according to Florida’s Economic Estimating Conference, a group of state labor experts. The comparable national unemployment rate is 9.7 percent for February.

Its official, Social Security is Broke
Posted by iusbvision on March 26, 2010
This year, the system will pay out more in benefits than it receives in payroll taxes, an important threshold it was not expected to cross until at least 2016, according to the Congressional Budget Office.
Stephen C. Goss, chief actuary of the Social Security Administration, said that while the Congressional projection would probably be borne out, the change would have no effect on benefits in 2010 and retirees would keep receiving their checks as usual.
The problem, he said, is that payments have risen more than expected during the downturn, because jobs disappeared and people applied for benefits sooner than they had planned. At the same time, the program’s revenue has fallen sharply, because there are fewer paychecks to tax.
Analysts have long tried to predict the year when Social Security would pay out more than it took in because they view it as a tipping point — the first step of a long, slow march to insolvency, unless Congress strengthens the program’s finances.
“When the level of the trust fund gets to zero, you have to cut benefits,” Alan Greenspan, architect of the plan to rescue the Social Security program the last time it got into trouble, in the early 1980s, said on Wednesday.

Its Starting Already – John Deere: We will take $150 million hit from healthcare reform; Caterpillar: We will take $100 million hit just this year. UPDATE AT&T says ObamaCare bill will cost $1 billion per year! – UPDATED!

UPDATE – Government using thug tactics to silence companies telling the truth about the new taxes, new laws and economy. These are publically held companies and by law they have to put out these forcasts. Democrats making accusitory phone calls to CEO’s, summoning documents for fishing expeditions. - LINK
How many jobs will this cost? We are witnessing the de-industrialization of America. Think too many things are made in China now…wait till this gets fully implemented.
NEW YORK (Reuters) – Farm equipment maker Deere & Co (DE.N) expects after-tax expenses to rise by $150 million this year as a result of the healthcare reform law President Barack Obama signed this week.
Most of the higher expense will come in Deere’s second quarter, the company said on Thursday. The expense was not included in the company’s earlier 2010 forecast, which called for net income of about $1.3 billion.
Caterpillar Inc (CAT.N) said on Wednesday it would take a $100 million after-tax charge to earnings in the first quarter because the new law will lower its tax deductions.
Obama on Tuesday signed the most sweeping U.S. social policy legislation in decades into law, putting his name on a healthcare bill that will help shape his legacy. Designed to revamp the $2.5 trillion U.S. healthcare industry, the law will extend health insurance to 32 million Americans who currently have none.
The law could raise expenses for large U.S. employers. Industrial companies, which typically have large numbers of retirees, may be among those facing the biggest bill. Caterpillar had argued before the legislation passed that health reform would put it at a disadvantage against global competitors.
UPDATE II – Surprise the NYT left out some of the details of what AT&T has to do to deal witrh the billion dollart a year hit –
The rolling back of pay and benefits begins. BusinessWeek:
A change in the tax treatment of Medicare subsidies triggered the non-cash expense, and the company will consider changes to the benefits it offers current and retired workers, Dallas-based AT&T said today in a regulatory filing.
AT&T, the biggest U.S. phone company, joins Caterpillar Inc., AK Steel Holding Corp. and 3M Co. in recording non-cash expenses against earnings as a result of the law. Health-care costs may shave as much as $14 billion from U.S. corporate profits, according to an estimate by benefits consulting firm Towers Watson. AT&T employed about 281,000 people as of the end of January.
UPDATE – NY Times:
The telecommunications giant AT&T said on Friday that it would take a $1 billion noncash accounting charge in the first quarter because of the health care overhaul and might cut benefits it offers.
The charge is the largest disclosed so far. Earlier this week, the AK Steel Corporation, Caterpillar, Deere & Company and Valero Energy announced similar accounting charges, saying the health care law that President Obama signed Tuesday would raise their expenses. On Friday, the 3M Company said it would take a charge of $85 million to $90 million.
All five are smaller than AT&T, and their combined charges are less than half of the $1 billion that AT&T is planning. The $1 billion is a third of AT&T’s most recent quarterly profit. In the fourth quarter of 2009, the company earned $3 billion on revenue of $30.9 billion.

Communist Murderer Castro Praises Obama Take Over of Health Care
Posted by iusbvision on March 25, 2010
Yahooo News:
HAVANA (AP) — It perhaps was not the endorsement President Barack Obama and the Democrats in Congress were looking for.
Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro on Thursday declared passage of American health care reform “a miracle” and a major victory for Obama’s presidency, but couldn’t help chide the United States for taking so long to enact what communist Cuba achieved decades ago.
“We consider health reform to have been an important battle and a success of his (Obama’s) government,” Castro wrote in an essay published in state media, adding that it would strengthen the president’s hand against lobbyists and “mercenaries.”
But the Cuban leader also used the lengthy piece to criticize the American president for his lack of leadership on climate change and immigration reform, and for his decision to send more troops to Afghanistan, among many other things.

Violence & Threats Both Real and Invented for Propaganda Purposes
Posted by iusbvision on March 25, 2010
This is Part III of a multi-part series – See Part I and Part II, Part IV , Part V in progress -
What is really going on –
[The simple truth is that anyone in the public sector attracts cooks and haters. I get death threats and hate mail but you don't see me on MSNBC, granted my audience is larger than theirs. Even the most minor celebrities like Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka has had to deal with wackos who make threats. This is not news.
What is news is that the willing "state-run" elite media has decided to focus on this in the most one-sided and disingenuous way. Where was the elite media and the Democrats concern when Bart Stupak was pretending he was going to vote against ObamaCare and the left was threatening his family at home? Where was the elite media when anti-Bush protests had all sorts of Hitler and assassination signs? Why does the elite media portray the Tea Party as a racist and violent movement when every instance of known violence has been SEIU and ObamaCare thugs attacking Tea Party participants?
The Tea Party has had the largest protests in DC history and in all of those not once has a Tea Party participant been arrested, yet at the anti-Bush/anti-war protests and at the recent anti-capitalism protests in Pittsburg the police has to bring the pattywagons, yet its is the Tea Party that is violent according to the elite media narrative. It is the distraction because the elite media would be talking about the recent CBS Poll where 62% of Americans including 41% of Democrats want the GOP to keep fighting Obamacare. Remember 34 Democrats in the House and 3 in the Senate voted no on ObamaCare so there is a bipartisan consensus opposing it, that is why the state run media needs to talk about something else.- Editor]
House GOP Whip Eric Cantor Campaign Office Was Shot At, Accuses Dems of Exploiting Threats (Via Fox News):
Virginia Rep. Eric Cantor said Thursday that his Richmond campaign office has been shot at and that he’s received “threatening e-mails” — but at the same time the House minority whip accused top Democrats of trying to exploit the threats they’ve been receiving for “political gain.”
IUSB Vision editor Chuck Norton reported in August of 2008 that Democrats.org launched an antisemitic ad against Cantor when he was in consideration for vice-president [democrats.org later scrubbed several of the antisemitic parts of the advertisement - Editor] :
Growing antisemitism among the left just had another piece of evidence added to the stack today. The statements below come from a single web advertisement against possible Vice Presidential candidate Eric Cantor.
“the party’s most visible liaison to Jewish groups”
“money from the Jewish community”
“Both Abramoff and Cantor are Jewish”
“the only Jewish Republican”
“a deli special that exudes Jewish power”
Where was the elite media frenzy and the Democrats concern while Bart Stupak was pretending that he was going to vote no on ObamaCare if it reversed 30 years of law and allowed for public funding of abortion??
Stupak: Health fight has been ‘living hell’
The telephone lines in his Washington and district offices have been “jammed” and he’s gotten more than 1,500 faxes and countless e-mails — most of which he says don’t come from his constituents.
The fight has taken a toll on his wife, who has disconnected the phone in their home to avoid harassment.
“All the phones are unplugged at our house — tired of the obscene calls and threats. She won’t watch TV,” Stupak said during an hourlong interview with The Hill in his Rayburn office. “People saying they’re going to spit on you and all this. That’s just not fun.”
Stupak has become a nationally known figure because of his demands for tough language in healthcare legislation to prevent any federal subsidies from being used for abortion services.
Virginia Galax Gazette (Via Sweetness & Light):
McCain Campaign workers attacked With Mace
By Ben Bomberger
October 28, 2008
Two people were arrested Monday afternoon after an altercation led to five Republican campaign workers being sprayed with Mace at their headquarters in Galax.
Galax Police Chief Rick Clark said officers were dispatched shortly before 1 p.m. to the Galax Republican headquarters on East Grayson Street when a caller reported someone had sprayed office workers with Mace.
Responding officers arrested Daniel Cason Meinecke, 29, and Cara Annis Hindman, 26, both of Galax.
Meinecke was charged with one count of misdemeanor assault, Hindman was charged with five counts of misdemeanor assault.
Galax Republican Chairman Mike Stevens said he was one of the volunteers sprayed. He said a man and woman came into the office and asked for campaign yard signs for the Democratic ticket of Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
After being told the Obama-Biden campaign office was up the street, Stevens said, the man said he was aware of that, but that he thought Democratic signs were being stolen and “stashed” at the Republican office.
Stevens told him that nobody there had stolen signs, not were they “stashing” any in the building.
A confrontation escalated and, Stevens said, the man began to use some four-letter words.
Stevens said there were older women in the office and he asked the couple to leave the building.
“With the ladies in the office, I said that was enough and asked them to leave,” he said. “I told them, if they had a problem with someone stealing their signs they needed to contact the police department.”
Stevens said the couple replied that they weren’t leaving, and that they didn’t have to.
“I kind of moved them towards the door and he lashed out at me,” Stevens said. “So I lashed out at him.”
No punches were thrown, but instead the two simply held each other at bay, according to Stevens.
Once outside, Stevens said, the woman sprayed Mace on him and another volunteer before turning back to the office and spraying inside the building.
“It was surreal in the fact that I’ve had people in the past couple months come in and ask for signs. But to have an altercation like that just seems strange.”
While Stevens was unsure if the couple came into the building planning to start an altercation, he said it seemed evident they were.
“There was no business that this gentleman had to do in the office. We didn’t do anything… We didn’t steal his signs. The people in the building were a 75- and 71-year-old man and their respective wives… they aren’t out there stealing signs.”
Stevens said he felt the man just came to the headquarters to agitate office volunteers and that he had no reason to enter the building.
“I can’t say they came there for that purpose. But it seemed that it was to come in and agitate. When he started cussing, that’s when I felt it was time for them to go out of the way and go on down the road.”
With the election of a new president coming in the next week, Stevens said the tension between Republican and Democrats has been elevated.
“We are more divided,” as a result, he said.
Chief Clark said in a news release that Meinecke is alleged to have physically assaulted one of the Republican campaign workers; Hindman is alleged to have sprayed Pepper Mace that contaminated five Republican campaign workers.
Both were released on a secured bond pending their arraignment in Galax General District Court.
York County, SC GOP Headquarters Vandalized – December 2008 – LINK
Democrat Vandallism Attacks in Maryland (Via Palmetto):
The wave of vandalism targeting supporters of presidential candidate John McCain isn’t just limited to South Carolina, as we experienced last weekend when thugs sprayed graffiti all over the York County GOP headquarters, nor is it limited to Republicans.
At some point during the wee hours of the morning, supporters of opponent Barack Obama attacked a private home in Prince George’s County, Md., defacing the house, an RV, a truck cover, and a two foot by eight foot yard sign. Apparently, the home owner was a registered Democrat and the local Obama fans were none to pleased with his decision to back McCain.
Clearwater – Frank Armstrong was preparing to go for a jog this morning when he noticed his Lexus – adorned with a McCain-Palin sticker – had been vandalized with obscenities and a burned American flag.
Armstrong discovered the damage to his 2006 Lexus about 8:30 a.m. at his Sand Key condominium at 1400 Gulf Blvd. Clearwater police and Armstrong said someone etched obscenities and “KKK” into the paint, burned several areas of the car with cigarettes, set the flag on fire on his hood and may have urinated on the vehicle. Officers and Armstrong think the car was singled out because of its political stickers, including one reading “Nobama.”
McCain Signs Vandalized with Hitler Stencil (Via LGF):
Stafford County Sun – Man charged with anti-McCain vandalism:
WOODBRIDGE — Police have charged a Gainesville man in connection with a rash of pre-election vandalism targeting the campaign of Republican candidate John McCain.
Daniel Marion Jackson, 23, of 13118 Bigleaf Maple Court, faces 21 counts of misdemeanor destruction of property, Prince William County police Officer Erika Hernandez said. He was arrested Wednesday.
Twelve houses, a church, seven businesses and a home owner’s association sign in Gainesville were spray painted with anti-McCain sentiments, profanity and the number 666 on Oct. 25.
Broward Republican Party chairman’s home vandalized – Via the Sun Sentinal:
Someone apparently threw an object at a window on the Broward Republican Party chairman’s house this weekend in Lighthouse Point, shattering the glass.
Chip LaMarca, who also is a Lighthouse Point city commissioner, said he and his wife were out of town at the state Republican Party’s quarterly meeting in Orlando when they were told of the incident Saturday morning and reported it directly to the police chief.

Twenty-five residents of a Gainesville neighborhood woke up this morning to discover their homes had been spray-painted with an obscene comment about the 2008 presidential race. Several businesses were hit as well.

Tonight, as we prepare for our Debate Party tonight at Trocadero’s, one of the listeners for our radio station AM 1280 The Patriot has to prepare for some hard work cleaning his work van and personal car. He made the mistake of thinking that he could have a bumper sticker showing his support of the station without thugs vandalizing his vehicles. At least he remains in high spirits, as he e-mailed the station with the subject heading, “The Power of a Patriot Bumper Sticker”:
I thought you might find these photos interesting. I’ve attached photos of the way I found my van this morning. Evidently, leaving a car parked on the street with Patriot and McCain bumper stickers is intolerable to Obama supporters. They didn’t remove the sticker from my wife’s Volvo, though. However, it appears that someone in my neighborhood didn’t like it. Luckily, they didn’t use permanent spray paint, just some really annoying stuff that was hard to wash off.
They took their time in vandalizing the panel van
http://www.fraterslibertas.com/2008/10/show-me-hate.html
Now, what kind of people would put this much energy into defacing other people’s property simply because they had Patriot and McCain bumper stickers on one of the cars? Usually, the same kind of people who screech constantly about “tolerance” and the closed-mindedness of Republicans.
Peace & Love Protestors attack a disabled Iraq Vet – LINK:
Joshua Sparling, a disabled Iraq War veteran, attended a recent “peace protest” in Washington to try and tell them the good that is happening in Iraq. Says Sparling, “I think I saw more fingers that day than any in my life. At first they told me that it was all about the veterans and when I told them that I am a veteran then they told me to go back to Iraq and that I should have stayed there. For the most part there were people lining the fence screaming at us and trying to get at us. A group was waiting for us with clubs and tried to get at me and the police had to stop them from bull-rushing us on the sidewalk.”

Congressman Russ Carnehan’s claim that Tea Party left a coffin on his lawn as a threat now proved bogus. Via Big Government.com:
On Sunday night several members of the St. Louis Tea Party Coalition held a prayer vigil at Russ Carnahan’s office for the millions of babies that will be slaughtered under the democrat’s pro-abortion health care bill. We also prayed for the handicapped and the elderly who will be turned away as they face the death panels created by this bill. And, as we stood outside his office in the rain, we prayed for our country and for the democrats in Washington DC who were stealing away our freedom at that very moment.
We brought a coffin with us to represent the millions of Americans who will suffer from inadequate treatment and perish under Obamacare.
(KSDK Photo)Local reporters from KSDK News Channel 5 showed up to interview myself and others after our prayer service.
The Carnahans told reporters that the coffin was left on their lawn. This is an absolute lie. We had a prayer service and then left. The state-run media didn’t bother to follow up on this outrageous lie before they published their hit piece. The coffin is currently in a member’s garage…. Oh, and the protest was on SUNDAY not Wednesday.
Radicallized Minority Student Hangs Noose in University Library – LINK
Seems like a big shock, except to those who have done the research. Most of the known ”outrageous” examples racial symbols and race based “propaganda attacks” on campus are either committed by the alleged minority victims or other minorities. Ann Coulter had a chapter in her book just about these incidents.
The UC San Diego student reportedly responsible for hanging a noose last week in a campus library issued a public, but anonymous, apology Monday and said she had no racist motivation.
The noose’s discovery set off protests at a school that is already tense from recent racially charged episodes and triggered condemnations from UC leaders and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
In a letter published Monday on the front page of the UC San Diego student newspaper, the Guardian, the student wrote that the incident was “a mindless act and stupid mistake” and was not meant to recall the lynching of blacks.
“As a minority student who sympathizes with the students that have been affected by the recent issues on campus, I am distraught to know that I have unintentionally added to their pain,” the student wrote. She was suspended Friday and remains under investigation for a possible hate crime.
Incidents like these are not so uncommon.
Out of legions, here are just a few hoax hate crimes on college campuses.
– In 1997, at Duke University, a black doll was found hanging by a noose from a tree at the precise spot where the Black Student Alliance was to be holding a rally against racism. Two black students later admitted they were the culprits and were immediately praised for bringing attention to the problem of racism on campus. Indeed, four years later the president of Duke gave a baccalaureate address nostalgically describing the hoax as a “protest” against racism. Next stop: the Nobel Peace Prize.
– In 2003, vile racial epithets were scrawled on the dorm room doors at Ole Miss, producing mass protests and a “Say No to Racism” march. And then it turned out the graffiti had been written by black students, against whom no charges were brought. A “Say Yes to Racism” rally at Ole Miss was later canceled due to lack of interest.
– In 2005, obscenity-laced racist and anti-Semitic messages appeared on dormitory walls at the College of Wooster in Ohio. The fliers were instantly blamed on “typical white males,” even though all the letter I’s in the epithets were dotted with little hearts. Breadcrumbs left by the culprits included the message “Vote Goldwater” among the obscenities. The matter was dropped and flushed down the memory hole when the perpetrators turned out to be a group of leftist students led by a black studies major.
– Just this year, anti-Muslim fliers were put out on the George Washington University campus — by leftists, including a member of “Iraq Veterans Against War.” When it was thought the leaflets were from the conservative group Young Americans For Freedom, the dean called for the expulsion of the culprits and the university demanded that YAF officers sign a statement disavowing “hate speech.” But when it turned out leftists had distributed the fliers, the matter was dropped faster than Larry Craig was dropped from Mitt Romney’s campaign.
The one real example of racism on a college campus in recent memory was perpetrated against white men of the Duke lacrosse team. As that injustice was being perpetrated, gender and ethnic professors at Duke kept droning on about the “racism and sexism” students “live with every day” — as the professors put it in an open letter that falsely presumed the players were guilty of rape. We don’t expect a rally against the prejudiced professors, but an apology might be nice.
We had our own similar scandal at IU when IUPUI student Keith Sampson was charged with racial harassment by the IUPUI administration for reading a book about how the Klan attacked Notre Dame University in 1925. IUPUI even went so far as to shamelessly smear him in the national press. IUSB Vision Editor Chuck Norton took an active role in Sampson’s defense. When it was all over with IUPUI admitted its false smears against Sampson and sent him a letter of apology.
The faculty and the administration lined up against Sampson. When a couple of professors asked about academic freedom to read a book in a faculty meeting the IUPUI Black Faculty and Staff Council levied a not so thinly veiled threats of racism to stop any serious inquiry in the matter.
IUPUI hired an outside investigator who ended up having racially charged problems herself. IUPUI could not have handled the situation more poorly or dishonestly.
During the ordeal I learned that radicalized “EEOC officers” and “judicial affairs officers” have the view that you are presumed guilty if you are white because of what they refer to as “white privilege”. Quinn’s Laws define it thusly: “white privilege is racist idea used by leftist proponents of group politics to explain away the economic and social failure of ‘group politics’”. Those who are radicalized frame everything in marxist conflict theory, white vs black, rich vs poor, man vs women etc. They need incidents like these to justify their world view even if they have to invent them out of thin air. They do this in the name of “freedom” or “diversity” but the real goal is just to increase one’s own power. In this regard Lillian Charleston and David Duke are very much alike.
Imagine how flawed our universities must be to have this number of minority students feeling the need to pull off these racial PR stunts. It is sad.
To see our coverage of the IUPUI incident Part 1 of our investigation is HERE and part 2 is HERE.
To see a video documentary of the incident go HERE.
There was the case where an IUSB administrator and faculty member manufactured bogus chareges of “conduct that is lewd, indecent, or obscene” and, strangely, “stalking or hazing” – against a student, all in an attempt to censor his accurate articles from appearing in a student newspaper. There are more cases of manufacturing and bogus charges of threats and violence being used by leftist administrators and faculty to censor people at FIRE’s web site.

Canadian Leftists Resort to Threats and Violence to Stop Ann Coulter Speech
Posted by iusbvision on March 25, 2010
This sort of thing is bad here, but never so bad where Ann couldn’t speak. If things in American Academia do not improve this kind of violence will become more common. She was able to speak at the second university she went to.
Ann is considering filing Human Rights Violations charges over a Canadian academic who sent her a threatening letter in a blatent attempt at censorship.
The video at the bottom is from Ezra LeVant’s “human rights hearing” – trust me you do not want to miss it.
Via NewsReal:
I could have told you this would happen if you ever got Ezra Levant and Ann Coulter in the same room together (see above — credit).
In response to that embarrassing, vaguely threatening message she got from that tax-teat sucking Canadian academic before she even set foot in the country, Ann Coulter announced last night that she is considering — you guessed it — filing a “Human Rights” Commission complaint against known Frenchman Francoise Houle (his real name).
At her first ever speech at a Canadian university (which I attended, of course), she told the sold-out crowd of (mostly) supporters, tongue firmly in cheek, that she was going to take her cue from all those other friviolous, professionally “offended” complainants who’ve made Canada the laughing stock of the world, and charge Houle with violating her “rights” as part of an “identifiable group.”
Of course, the definition of “identifiable group” most assuredly does not include “white, Christian conservatives” — as white Christian conservatives have discovered when they’ve tried to file Human Rights complaints against anti-Catholic homosexual activists and so forth.
I think Coulter should claim “American” as her “identifiable group.” After all, in Canada, Americans are the only people you are allowed, and encouraged, to viciously insult at will — even on, especially on, 9/11, with the encouragement of our tax-payer funded national broadcaster, no less.
Such a cause celebre might force my fellow citizens to confront this poisonous little habit of theirs once and for all.
And naturally, we all hope Coulter will hire Ezra Levant as her lawyer. He was more or less forced to become Canada’s leading expert on our censorious, politically correct kangaroo courts, when he fought them — and (900 days and $100,000 later) won:

let me give you the facts that U.S. journalists refuse to cite. Let me show you where real violence comes from, and I don’t even need to mention the millions of babies killed every year by progressives or even the tens of millions of people murdered by their communist heroes.
- It was not the fear of conservative violence that caused Ann Coulter’s speech to be cancelled this week.
- It was a liberal who bit the finger off a man who disagreed with him on healthcare.
- It was Obama-loving Amy Bishop who took a gun to work and murdered co-workers.
- Joseph Stack flew his plane into the IRS building after writing an anti-conservative manifesto. [LINK 2 - IUSB Vision Editor]
- It was liberals who destroyed AM radio towers outside of Seattle.
- It’s liberals who burn down Hummer dealerships.
- It was progressive SEIU union thugs who beat a black conservative man who spoke his mind.
- It’s doubtful that a conservative fired shots into a GOP campaign headquarters.
- In fact, Democrats have no monopoly on having their offices vandalized.
- Don’t forget it was Obama’s friend Bill Ayers who used terrorism as a tool for political change. SDS is still radical, with arrests in 2007 and the storming of the CATO Institute in July 2008.
- It was a liberal who was sentenced to two years for bringing bombs and riot shields to the Republican National Convention in 2008.
- It was a liberal who threatened to kill a government informant who infiltrated her Austin-based group that planned to bomb the RNC.
- It was liberals who assaulted police in Berkeley.
- It was liberals who intimidated and threw rocks through the windows of researchers.
- The two Black Panthers who stood outside polls intimidating people with nightsticks were probably not right-wingers.
- Every time the G20 gets together, it’s not conservatives who destroy property and cause chaos.

“ABORT Palin” graffiti has sprouted on the sidewalks of Seattle, and “Abort Sarah Palin“ bumper stickers are spreading in Web stores.

In November 2007, NovaM syndicated libtalker Mike Malloy called for violence against White House spokesperson Dana Perino, as well as the Bush family. Removing any doubt about his wishes, he spoke of “violence fantasies” toward Perino.
In December of that year, Malloy was at it again, this time calling for the hanging death of Internet star Matt Drudge.
During a Randi Rhodes Show broadcast in February 2008, the host aired a prerecorded skit which claimed Mitt Romney supporters would go on a “killing rampage” if John McCain emerged as the GOP’s presidential nominee.
In 2005, Rhodes aired another bit that suggested the Bush family be taken out Sopranos-style.
Heading into the 2008 Democratic National Convention, Southern Californian libtalker Roseanne Barr called for violent riots during the Denver-based event.
And in November, Barr went on a verbal rampage against African-Americans for overwhelmingly supporting California’s Proposition 8 at the ballot box.
Finally, in a story just reported today by Tim Graham at NewsBusters, Malloy has called for the execution of Republicans (in addition to any Democrats who voted with President Bush).

You have a lot to be thankful for Bitch, fucking a white man gave you a good life in America, a life you could never have where your fucking ancestors were born.
Just be thankful that your lack of self decency allowed you to suck the white man’s dick to get where you are in life, you fucking sell out cunt.
Look at what you job is : “MAKING STUPID RACIST COMMENTS ABOUT A WOMAN OF COLOR, WHEN YOU CLAIM YOU’RE A WOMAN OF COLOR.”
Show me the white woman named Ming Lee Malkin, but there’s tons of sell out Asian Bitches like yourself who think nothing of naming your Asian and bi-racial
children white names. Blacks have white names because of Slavery, you have white names and semen in your body because you hate yourself and your slant eyes.
You pray that your bi-racial child by a white man will come out more white than Asian. No wonder the white man loves Asia to fill out all of his pedophile tendencies, you Bitches will move in with him and let him fuck your children just as long as he’ll give you his credit card and allow you to pretend that you’re an honorary white woman. BITCH PLEASE.
FYI HO: “Fuck you and the Bitch (your mother) that had you.”
Now how’s that for free speech, silly dumb ass HO?
Hi Self hating flat nosed Filipino Bitch! As we used to refer to your kind – little brown Fucking Machines. Looks like this little LBFM learned to whore in a different way to make some pesos. How sweet.
***
Surely you are a big put-on. Did some minor Republican operative purchase a mail-order bride and train her to do this?
***
Proverbs 69:69 counsels: “Like a whore who infects those she sleeps with, so doth the ultra-republican faux columnist infect her readers with lies.” While you are looking in the mirror, cursing the Left because you weren’t born blond, think about the above. Amen.
***
Is is such a shame that you look like a Filipino- because your thinking, writing (if you can call that) is a disgrace to any member of the Asian community. Someday, when you are no longer motivated by greed, and when you are closer to your next life stage, you will realized what a horrible sellout you are.
***
You’re a filthy whore.
***
I just hope that I am still around when the karma catches up to those of you that have spread the lies and attacked the innocent. I hope your fate is somewhat similar to the women of the Phillipines when the Japanese invaded. Then Michelle you can drop the “media” from “media whore” when someone asks your occupation.
***
You’re just a Manilla whore shaking your ass and waiting for the Republican fleet to come in, aren’t you? You’ve even got the lip gloss about right. Maybe if you love sailor long time, he bring you home to big American house? I don’t think so. Just like in Manilla, Honey, they’ll pass you around ’til they’ve all shot their load in you, and then they’ll try to scrub off the stench so they can sail off in their crisp, white uniforms to the land of W.A.S.P.
***
Here’s a tip. We know you are lyin’ pond scum and a whore to your profession……and, not a very expensive whore at that. So…………when we get rid of you neocons; how will you ever pay your rent? You’re not good enough to make it as a real writer. fuck you; I hope you get cancer & die a horrible painful death all alone, with your collegues shunning you and the rest of us reading how wrong you are AND WHAT A CRUMMY WRITER YOU ARE.
***
Malkin, you’re a dumb fucking whore. You’re a philipino piece of shit who should be wiping my ass. Go back to the massage parlor. Sucky sucky long time. How dare you thing you have any right to express any opinions in this country. You’re a joke. Go back to nursing school. Whore.
***
Young lady you should be ashamed of yourself. My husband is Filipino and is all I have met have had integrity. However, you have disgraced the Filipino Americans by spreading these awful lies and being a Bush whore. I was going to vote for Bush, but never after these dirty tricks and lies. Just like the old Marcos days’ eh. Disgraceful, you family and your community are desparately ashamed of you. How much are they paying you to sell your soul. You have disgraced us all.
***
oh, mz. malkin, there are more profitable ways to whore yourself than to do it on television for the likes of the neocons. (they are even quicker to dump their whores when they are finished with them…) you would make a discreet fortune on aurora avenue here in seattle, and no one would be
the wiser…

Say, how does it feel to be a paid prostitute for the republicans? Go get some more collagen injected in your lips, it makes you look more the part.

NBC’s Chris Mathews Accuses Republicans of Inciting Violence; Says Rush Limbaugh Should be Shot in the Head
Posted by iusbvision on March 25, 2010
[Editor's Note - this is part one, Part II is HERE - Part III - Part IV , Part V in progress.]
NBC’s Chris Mathews (via NewsBusters):
I have to tell you, Rush Limbaugh is looking more and more like Mr. Big, and at some point somebody’s going to jam a CO2 pellet into his head and he’s going to explode like a giant blimp. That day may come. Not yet. But we’ll be there to watch. I think he’s Mr. Big, I think Yaphet Kotto. Are you watching, Rush?
Mathews then turns around and accuses Republicans on inciting violence (Via NewsBusters):
Matthews escalated his usual slandering of the entire Tea Party movement for the offensive or unlawful actions of a few, to actually blaming Republican officeholders for the illegal acts. The concerned MSNBC host also worried: ”Is it harder to recruit members to run for Congress now that they’re facing death threats?” [audio available here]
Of course, no one spews more hateful invective than NBC’s Keith Olberman who routinely launches grtesque sexual attacks on conservative women and compares anyone in the GOP to a Nazi.

Glenn Beck is probably the most popular target for the left’s demands for censorship. Cokie Roberts and her husband Steve picked up that ball and ran with it today in their joint syndicated column. They dubbed Beck “a traitor to the American values he professes so loudly to defend” and claimed he is “corrupting the very essence of democracy.” And all this just by speaking.
The elite media wants to play Bart Stupak’s voicemail – heh, listen to Sean Hannity’s –
Remember when the elite media just made up the allegation of “kill him” at the McCain rally? Via the Times Leader:
SCRANTON – The agent in charge of the Secret Service field office in Scranton said allegations that someone yelled “kill him” when presidential hopeful Barack Obama’s name was mentioned during Tuesday’s Sarah Palin rally are unfounded.
The Scranton Times-Tribune first reported the alleged incident on its Web site Tuesday and then again in its print edition Wednesday. The first story, written by reporter David Singleton, appeared with allegations that while congressional candidate Chris Hackett was addressing the crowd and mentioned Obama’s name a man in the audience shouted “kill him.”
News organizations including ABC, The Associated Press, The Washington Monthly and MSNBC’s Countdown with Keith Olbermann reported the claim, with most attributing the allegations to the Times-Tribune story.
Agent Bill Slavoski said he was in the audience, along with an undisclosed number of additional secret service agents and other law enforcement officers and not one heard the comment.
“I was baffled,” he said after reading the report in Wednesday’s Times-Tribune.
He said the agency conducted an investigation Wednesday, after seeing the story, and could not find one person to corroborate the allegation other than Singleton.
Slavoski said more than 20 non-security agents were interviewed Wednesday, from news media to ordinary citizens in attendance at the rally for the Republican vice presidential candidate held at the Riverfront Sports Complex. He said Singleton was the only one to say he heard someone yell “kill him.”
More to come, lots more….

This isn’t a big time party man saying this, this is John McCain who since 2000 couldn’t wait to compromise traditional conservatism to please the Dems and the elite media culture. This is the man Meet the Press always turned to when they needed a Republican to attack other Republicans for sticking to their principles, this is the man who is 10 times harder campaigning against Republicans in his primaries and was a paragon of etiquette in the campaign while the Obama Camp lied about his stances and put out that slew of smears and lies about Sarah Palin.
This is the man who once called the Washington Press Corps “My Constituency”.
Now he has had it and it has come to this:
Than again it may all be total BS because he is in a primary against JD Hayworth.
With that said, I have never seen John McCain talk so tough against the Democratic Leadership.

With House Democrats poised to pass the Senate health care bill with some reconciliation changes later today, it is worthwhile to take a comprehensive look at the freedoms we will lose.
Of course, the overhaul is supposed to provide us with security. But it will result in skyrocketing insurance costs and physicians leaving the field in droves, making it harder to afford and find medical care. We may be about to live Benjamin Franklin’s adage, “People willing to trade their freedom for temporary security deserve neither and will lose both.” The sections described below are taken from HR 3590 as agreed to by the Senate and from the reconciliation bill as displayed by the Rules Committee. 1. You are young and don’t want health insurance? You are starting up a small business and need to minimize expenses, and one way to do that is to forego health insurance? Tough. You have to pay $750 annually for the “privilege.” (Section 1501) 2. You are young and healthy and want to pay for insurance that reflects that status? Tough. You’ll have to pay for premiums that cover not only you, but also the guy who smokes three packs a day, drink a gallon of whiskey and eats chicken fat off the floor. That’s because insurance companies will no longer be able to underwrite on the basis of a person’s health status. (Section 2701). 3. You would like to pay less in premiums by buying insurance with lifetime or annual limits on coverage? Tough. Health insurers will no longer be able to offer such policies, even if that is what customers prefer. (Section 2711). 4. Think you’d like a policy that is cheaper because it doesn’t cover preventive care or requires cost-sharing for such care? Tough. Health insurers will no longer be able to offer policies that do not cover preventive services or offer them with cost-sharing, even if that’s what the customer wants. (Section 2712). 5. You are an employer and you would like to offer coverage that doesn’t allow your employees’ children to stay on the policy until age 26? Tough. (Section 2714). 6. You must buy a policy that covers ambulatory patient services, emergency services, hospitalization, maternity and newborn care, mental health and substance use disorder services, including behavioral health treatment; prescription drugs; rehabilitative and habilitative services and devices; laboratory services; preventive and wellness services; chronic disease management; and pediatric services, including oral and vision care. You’re a single guy without children? Tough, your policy must cover pediatric services. You’re a woman who can’t have children? Tough, your policy must cover maternity services. You’re a teetotaler? Tough, your policy must cover substance abuse treatment. (Add your own violation of personal freedom here.) (Section 1302). 7. Do you want a plan with lots of cost-sharing and low premiums? Well, the best you can do is a “Bronze plan,” which has benefits that provide benefits that are actuarially equivalent to 60% of the full actuarial value of the benefits provided under the plan. Anything lower than that, tough. (Section 1302 (d) (1) (A)) 8. You are an employer in the small-group insurance market and you’d like to offer policies with deductibles higher than $2,000 for individuals and $4,000 for families? Tough. (Section 1302 (c) (2) (A). 9. If you are a large employer (defined as at least 50 employees) and you do not want to provide health insurance to your employee, then you will pay a $750 fine per employee (It could be $2,000 to $3,000 under the reconciliation changes). Think you know how to better spend that money? Tough. (Section 1513). 10. You are an employer who offers health flexible spending arrangements and your employees want to deduct more than $2,500 from their salaries for it? Sorry, can’t do that. (Section 9005 (i)). 11. If you are a physician and you don’t want the government looking over your shoulder? Tough. The Secretary of Health and Human Services is authorized to use your claims data to issue you reports that measure the resources you use, provide information on the quality of care you provide, and compare the resources you use to those used by other physicians. Of course, this will all be just for informational purposes. It’s not like the government will ever use it to intervene in your practice and patients’ care. Of course not. (Section 3003 (i)) 12. If you are a physician and you want to own your own hospital, you must be an owner and have a “Medicare provider agreement” by Feb. 1, 2010. (Dec. 31, 2010 in the reconciliation changes.) If you didn’t have those by then, you are out of luck. (Section 6001 (i) (1) (A)) 13. If you are a physician owner and you want to expand your hospital? Well, you can’t (Section 6001 (i) (1) (B). Unless, it is located in a county where, over the last five years, population growth has been 150% of what it has been in the state (Section 6601 (i) (3) ( E)). And then you cannot increase your capacity by more than 200% (Section 6001 (i) (3) (C)). 14. You are a health insurer and you want to raise premiums to meet costs? Well, if that increase is deemed “unreasonable” by the Secretary of Health and Human Services it will be subject to review and can be denied. (Section 1003) [combine this with 8 billion a year in new taxes on the insurance industry and the inability to deny coverage to people with pre-existing conditions and tell me if you can stay in business. It is not that we oppose getting people with conditions some insurance, but there are smarter an cheaper ways of getting this done as we have explained before, doing it this way is designed to blow up the system so that people will cry out for a public option. - IUSB Vision Editor] 15. The government will extract a fee of $2.3 billion annually from the pharmaceutical industry. If you are a pharmaceutical company what you will pay depends on the ratio of the number of brand-name drugs you sell to the total number of brand-name drugs sold in the U.S. So, if you sell 10% of the brand-name drugs in the U.S., what you pay will be 10% multiplied by $2.3 billion, or $230,000,000. (Under reconciliation, it starts at $2.55 billion, jumps to $3 billion in 2012, then to $3.5 billion in 2017 and $4.2 billion in 2018, before settling at $2.8 billion in 2019 (Section 1404)). Think you, as a pharmaceutical executive, know how to better use that money, say for research and development? Tough. (Section 9008 (b)). 16. The government will extract a fee of $2 billion annually from medical device makers. If you are a medical device maker what you will pay depends on your share of medical device sales in the U.S. So, if you sell 10% of the medical devices in the U.S., what you pay will be 10% multiplied by $2 billion, or $200,000,000. Think you, as a medical device maker, know how to better use that money, say for R&D? Tough. (Section 9009 (b)). The reconciliation package turns that into a 2.9% excise tax for medical device makers. Think you, as a medical device maker, know how to better use that money, say for research and development? Tough. (Section 1405). 17. The government will extract a fee of $6.7 billion annually from insurance companies. If you are an insurer, what you will pay depends on your share of net premiums plus 200% of your administrative costs. So, if your net premiums and administrative costs are equal to 10% of the total, you will pay 10% of $6.7 billion, or $670,000,000. In the reconciliation bill, the fee will start at $8 billion in 2014, $11.3 billion in 2015, $1.9 billion in 2017, and $14.3 billion in 2018 (Section 1406).Think you, as an insurance executive, know how to better spend that money? Tough.(Section 9010 (b) (1) (A and B).) 18. If an insurance company board or its stockholders think the CEO is worth more than $500,000 in deferred compensation? Tough.(Section 9014). 19. You will have to pay an additional 0.5% payroll tax on any dollar you make over $250,000 if you file a joint return and $200,000 if you file an individual return. What? You think you know how to spend the money you earned better than the government? Tough. (Section 9015). That amount will rise to a 3.8% tax if reconciliation passes. It will also apply to investment income, estates, and trusts. You think you know how to spend the money you earned better than the government? Like you need to ask. (Section 1402). 20. If you go for cosmetic surgery, you will pay an additional 5% tax on the cost of the procedure. Think you know how to spend that money you earned better than the government? Tough. (Section 9017). |
