Norton To Republicans: Obama Votes with McCain 90+% of the Time.
Posted by iusbvision on September 6, 2008
I have just about had it with the Obama campaigns most misleading slogan which is:
“If McCain votes with Bush 90% of the time that is only hope of a 10% change.”
Republicans should answer with two points:
1. About 90% of Senate voted are unanimous consent votes. Either honoring some dead guy or an event, changing the name of a post office, spending money like an earmark, a minor tweaking a law, asking the executive for a report etc. So the next time they say that McCain votes with Bush 90% of the time, say so does Obama and than explain why so the American people can see how dishonest that campaign is when they say that.
2. On almost every foreign policy issue Obama started with a position in line with the far left fringe of his party until he secured the nomination and then down the line he started adopting McCain’s positions. Obama has sided with Bush on several key votes in an effort to move to the center since he secured the nomination.
So call out this nonsense for what it is.
I am a non traditional college student and I can write better responses and analysis than the party can and certainly can explain the administrations position better than anyone in the White House communications machine (with the exception of the recently deceased Tony Snow). Unfortunately that’s not bragging on my part. It is not that I am so brilliant it is that your communications machine is that incompetent.
