Rush Job: Inside Dems’ Limbaugh plan
By JONATHAN MARTIN | 3/4/09 4:04 AM EST

Top Democrats believe they have struck political gold by depicting Rush Limbaugh as the new face of the Republican Party, a full-scale effort first hatched by some of the most familiar names in politics and now being guided in part from inside the White House.

Soon it clicked: Democrats realized they could roll out a new GOP bogeyman for the post-Bush era by turning to an old one in Limbaugh, a polarizing figure since he rose to prominence in the 1990s.

*******Original Story Below*******

Well here is the video of Rush Limbaugh back from January 21st. The day after the inauguration.  The title of the video is “Does Rush Want Obama to Succeed”. You should watch the entire video. At 4:50 Sean Hannity asks Rush Limbaugh if he wants Obama to succeed.

Limbaugh from January 21, 2009 after explaining how he would be cheering for Obama if he would change his policies to be the next Reagan:

“I want him to fail if his agenda is a far left collectivism, some people say socialism. As a conservative, heart felt, why would I want socialism to to succeed? I don’t know where what he wants to try has ever worked. It didn’t work in the Soviet Union, it doesn’t work in China. China has had to become more like us in order to survive. It hasn’t worked in Cuba.

It didn’t work when the Pilgrims arrived.  They tried socialism. Remember that they were all given a plot of ground and they all had to share what they produced [for the community you could never keep anything for yourself] and the slackers figured out they didn’t have to produce anything in order to get goodies. So William Bradford said to heck with this, you get to keep everything you produce and you don’t have to share it. So everybody had to work. They were giving thanks to God for the lesson that socialism failed.

It has never worked.

The New Deal didn’t work.  Hoover was president through the depression for one year and FDR prolonged the depression for seven or eight years and he is given credit [by the left] for ending the depression. Didn’t happen. World War II ended it. New Deal didn’t work.

This [Obama plan] is ‘New New Deal’, it doesn’t work. If it works it will be the first time that it works but it never has and I don’t think that this will be the record breaker.”

Policies like the ones being proposed now (such as during Carter’s presidency which Limbaugh forgot to mention) have resulted in nothing but greater human suffering and the destruction of wealth the country needs. Why would anyone want that to succeed?

UPDATE– Bobby Jindal has had enough of the fake “Limbaugh Talking Point” and refuses to let Larry King get away with it.  Thanks to Hotair.comfor the Jindal video link.
