Dr. Adams takes his students to “Thanksgiving for the Second Amendment” event.

Posted by iusbvision on November 30, 2009

You have to admire a professor who not only teaches criminology, but also teaches his students how to safely handle a firearm.

This is one video form the event. The students are filming and are behind the camera. There are other video’s of students shooting themselves. It seems that a good time was had by one and all.

Dan Hannan: EU Creating Unaccountable International Police Force.

Posted by iusbvision on November 29, 2009

They have guns, can arrest you, can cross borders at will and have full diplomatic immunity. Only a politician or a PhD. could believe that this is a good combination. Did the EU vote on this new police force, nope, why bother with democracy. The EU parliament is becoming a talking shop and the executive is taking power at great speed. How many times does Europe have to go down this road before it learns?

Climategate II: Uh, oh – raw data in New Zealand tells a different story than the “official” one.

Posted by iusbvision on November 29, 2009

UPDATE – The UK Daily Telegraph now reporting the story HERE. Newsbusters covers the American news media blackout HERE.

Busted. New Zealand’s climate center also caught fudging the data to make it look like there was global warming. So it is not just the whose who of European and American “climate science” who have, what the evidence now shows, was a clear act of conspiracy to push this fraud upon the world. See our “Alarmism” category for more details.

The famed WUWT blog has the details. So does Investigate Magazine who did much of the original reporting.

Mini UPDATE – The Coverup Begins: Investigate Magazine at the link above is spelling out the beginning sof the attempted cover up:

NIWA chief scientist David Wratt says he has no plans to release data backing up claims of different temperature adjustments between historial weather station sites.

Wratt told Investigate tonight that some studies existed which contained “overlapping” periods which allowed NIWA to compare the temperatures at both locations.

He said NIWA intendeds to release data regarding the Kelburn weather station tonight, but will not release other data.

“There are various other sites that will be affected by a change in location”

“Have you done a 12 or 24 month study comparing both locations simultaneously?”

“There’s been a whole lot of work behind this in terms of things like having overlaps between particular stations when they’ve moved. There’s a whole methodology, internationally accepted, where you actually work out how to correct for these sorts of site changes and so on.”

“But you’ll be providing all that shortly?”

“Well, we’re not going to run around in circles just because somebody has put out a press release. We will continue to put out what is reasonable to provide.”

“Wouldn’t it be important –“

Yes you do pal, you darn near conned the world into spending trillions of dollars and giving up freedom to a cabal of power mad politicians frothing at the mouth with anticipation of taking central control of the economy for your scam. The New zealand government now wants answers, but will they break the law to hide more evidence just as the creeps at the CRU in England conspired to do?

More data fudging from the New Zealand Climate Center HERE.

New Zealand’s NIWA accused of CRU-style temperature faking

The New Zealand Government’s chief climate advisory unit NIWA is under fire for allegedly massaging raw climate data to show a global warming trend that wasn’t there.

The scandal breaks as fears grow worldwide that corruption of climate science is not confined to just Britain’s CRU climate research centre.

In New Zealand’s case, the figures published on NIWA’s [the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric research] website suggest a strong warming trend in New Zealand over the past century:

The caption to the photo on the NiWA site reads:

From NIWA’s web site — Figure 7: Mean annual temperature over New Zealand, from 1853 to 2008 inclusive, based on between 2 (from 1853) and 7 (from 1908) long-term station records. The blue and red bars show annual differences from the 1971 – 2000 average, the solid black line is a smoothed time series, and the dotted [straight] line is the linear trend over 1909 to 2008 (0.92°C/100 years).

But analysis of the raw climate data from the same temperature stations has just turned up a very different result:

Gone is the relentless rising temperature trend, and instead there appears to have been a much smaller growth in warming, consistent with the warming up of the planet after the end of the Little Ice Age in 1850.

The revelations are published today in a news alert from The Climate Science Coalition of NZ:

Straight away you can see there’s no slope—either up or down. The temperatures are remarkably constant way back to the 1850s. Of course, the temperature still varies from year to year, but the trend stays level—statistically insignificant at 0.06°C per century since 1850.

Putting these two graphs side by side, you can see huge differences. What is going on?

Why does NIWA’s graph show strong warming, but graphing their own raw data looks completely different? Their graph shows warming, but the actual temperature readings show none whatsoever!

Have the readings in the official NIWA graph been adjusted?

It is relatively easy to find out. We compared raw data for each station (from NIWA’s web site) with the adjusted official data, which we obtained from one of Dr Salinger’s colleagues.

Requests for this information from Dr Salinger himself over the years, by different scientists, have long gone unanswered, but now we might discover the truth.

Proof of man-made warming

What did we find? First, the station histories are unremarkable. There are no reasons for any large corrections. But we were astonished to find that strong adjustments have indeed been made.

About half the adjustments actually created a warming trend where none existed; the other half greatly exaggerated existing warming. All the adjustments increased or even created a warming trend, with only one (Dunedin) going the other way and slightly reducing the original trend.

The shocking truth is that the oldest readings have been cranked way down and later readings artificially lifted to give a false impression of warming, as documented below. There is nothing in the station histories to warrant these adjustments and to date Dr Salinger and NIWA have not revealed why they did this.

One station, Hokitika, had its early temperatures reduced by a huge 1.3°C, creating strong warming from a mild cooling, yet there’s no apparent reason for it.

We have discovered that the warming in New Zealand over the past 156 years was indeed man-made, but it had nothing to do with emissions of CO2—it was created by man-made adjustments of the temperature. It’s a disgrace.

NIWA claim their official graph reveals a rising trend of 0.92ºC per century, which means (they claim) we warmed more than the rest of the globe, for according to the IPCC, global warming over the 20th century was only about 0.6°C.

NIWA’s David Wratt has told Investigate magazine this afternoon his organization denies faking temperature data and he claims NIWA has a good explanation for adjusting the temperature data upward. Wratt says NIWA is drafting a media response for release later this afternoon which will explain why they altered the raw data.

“Do you agree it might look bad in the wake of the CRU scandal?”

“No, no,” replied Wratt before hitting out at the Climate Science Coalition and accusing them of “misleading” people about the temperature adjustments.

Manipulation of raw data is at the heart of recent claims of corrupt scientific practice in climate science, with CRU’s Phil Jones recently claiming old temperature records collected by his organization were “destroyed” or “lost”, meaning researchers can now only access manipulated data.

The raw files are HERE.

Our first report on this story HERE. New Zealand Climate Center caught fudging the data too LINK.

UPDATE VII – 14 days go buy and ABC/CBS/NBC refuse to cover the story – LINK.

UPDATE VI – Obama and Democrats refuse to investigate the climate fraud emails and files – LINK.

UPDATE V – UK Daily Express – Climate Fraud and Arctic Sea Ice – LINK.

UPDATE IV – WSJ: The emails that reveal an effort to hide the truth about climate science – LINK.

UPDATE IIIThey agreed in their emails that if forced to reveal the raw data from Freedom of Information that they would destroy it first. The “scientists” at East Anglia CRU carried out that plan as much of the raw data that was used to push the global warming agenda is now destroyed (LINK). Now that much of the key data is destroyed; NOW they are saying that they are releasing everything. The elite media will say “see they released everything they had”, but most will not report that most of the key data is now gone forever and what is being released is just what is left (LINK).  The UK Telegraph says that this is the worst scientific disaster of our generation (LINK).

UPDATE II – BBC Had the emails and files six weeks ago and sat on the story – LINK.

UPDATEMark Steyn:

The more frantically they talked up “peer review” as the only legitimate basis for criticism, the more assiduously they turned the process into what James Lewis calls the Chicago machine politics of international science. The headline in the Wall Street Journal Europe is unimproveable: “How To Forge A Consensus.” Pressuring publishers, firing editors, blacklisting scientists: That’s “peer review,” climate-style.

Via the National Examiner:

The contents of the archive contain documents and email correspondence from a veritable who’s who in climate science. Among those included in the emails are Phil Jones, Keith Briffa, his assistant, Michael Mann of Penn State, Malcolm Hughes at the University of Arizona, Kevin Trenberth at the National Center for Atmospheric Research, James Hansen of NASA’s Goddard Institute of Space Studies and others.

The emails contain an array of discussions including what appear to be concerted efforts to withhold data. Just as troubling is conversations that allude to potentially manipulating climate data to “hide the decline” of temperatures seen in the last decade.

Some of the excerpts of emails within the archives (edited for brevity, emphasis added):

From Michael E. Mann (witholding of information / data):

Dear Phil and Gabi,
I’ve attached a cleaned-up and commented version of the matlab code that I wrote for doing the Mann and Jones (2003) composites. I did this knowing that Phil and I are likely to have to respond to more crap criticisms from the idiots in the near future, so best to clean up the code and provide to some of my close colleagues in case they want to test it, etc. Please feel free to use this code for your own internal purposes, but don’t pass it along where it may get into the hands of the wrong people.

From Nick McKay (modifying data):

The Korttajarvi record was oriented in the reconstruction in the way that McIntyre said. I took a look at the original reference – the temperature proxy we looked at is x-ray density, which the author interprets to be inversely related to temperature. We had higher values as warmer in the reconstruction, so it looks to me like we got it wrong, unless we decided to reinterpret the record which I don’t remember. Darrell, does this sound right to you?

From Tom Wigley (acknowleding the urban effect):

We probably need to say more about this. Land warming since 1980 has been twice the ocean warming — and skeptics might claim that this proves that urban warming is real and important.

From Phil Jones (modification of data to hide unwanted results):

I’ve just completed Mike’s Nature trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last 20 years (ie from 1981 onwards) amd from 1961 for Keith’s to hide the decline.

From Kevin Trenberth (failure of computer models):

The fact is that we can’t account for the lack of warming at the moment and it is a travesty that we can’t. The CERES data published in the August BAMS 09 supplement on 2008 shows there should be even more warming: but the data are surely wrong. Our observing system is inadequate.

From Michael Mann (truth doesn’t matter):

Perhaps we’ll do a simple update to  the Yamal post, e.g. linking Keith/s new page–Gavin t?  As to the issues of robustness, particularly w.r.t. inclusion of the Yamal series, we  actually emphasized that (including the Osborn and Briffa ’06 sensitivity test) in our  original post! As we all know, this isn’t about truth at all, its about plausibly deniable accusations.

From Phil Jones (witholding of data):

The skeptics seem to be building up a head of steam here! …  The IPCC comes in for a lot of stick. Leave it to you to delete as appropriate! Cheers Phil
PS I’m getting hassled by a couple of people to release the CRU station temperature data. Don’t any of you three tell anybody that the UK has a Freedom of Information Act !

From Michael E. Mann (using a website to control the message, hide dissent):

Anyway, I wanted you guys to know that you’re free to use RC [ – A supposed neutral climate change website] Rein any way you think would be helpful. Gavin and I are going to be careful about what comments we screen through, and we’ll be very careful to answer any questions that come up to any extent we can. On the other hand, you might want to visit the thread and post replies yourself. We can hold comments up in the queue and contact you about whether or not you think they should be screened through or not, and if so, any comments you’d like us to include.

From Phil Jones (witholding of data):

If FOIA does ever get used by anyone, there is also IPR to consider as well. Data is covered by all the agreements we sign with people, so I will be hiding behind them.

From Phil Jones (destroying of emails / evidence):

Mike, Can you delete any emails you may have had with Keith re AR4? Keith will do likewise. He’s not in at the moment – minor family crisis. Can you also email Gene and get him to do the same? I don’t have his new email address. We will be getting Caspar to do likewise.

From Tom Wigley (data modification):

Phil, Here are some speculations on correcting SSTs to partly explain the 1940s warming blip. If you look at the attached plot you will see that the land also shows the 1940s blip (as I’m sure you know). So, if we could reduce the ocean blip by, say, 0.15 degC, then this would be significant for the global mean — but we’d still have to explain the land blip. I’ve chosen 0.15 here deliberately. This still leaves an ocean blip, and i think one needs to have some form of ocean blip to explain the land blip (via either some common forcing, or ocean forcing land, or vice versa, or all of these). When you look at other blips, the land blips are 1.5 to 2 times (roughly) the ocean blips — higher sensitivity plus thermal inertia effects. My 0.15 adjustment leaves things consistent with this, so you can see where I am coming from. Removing ENSO does not affect this. It would be good to remove at least part of the 1940s blip, but we are still left with “why the blip”. Let me go further. If you look at NH vs SH and the aerosol effect (qualitatively or with MAGICC) then with a reduced ocean blip we get continuous warming in the SH, and a cooling in the NH — just as one would expect with mainly NH aerosols. The other interesting thing is (as Foukal et al. note — from MAGICC) that the 1910-40 warming cannot be solar. The Sun can get at most 10% of this with Wang et al solar, less with Foukal solar. So this may well be NADW, as Sarah and I noted in 1987 (and also Schlesinger later). A reduced SST blip in the 1940s makes the 1910-40 warming larger than the SH (which it currently is not) — but not really enough. So … why was the SH so cold around 1910? Another SST problem? (SH/NH data also attached.) This stuff is in a report I am writing for EPRI, so I’d appreciate any comments you (and Ben) might have. Tom.

From  Ben Santer * (witholding data) :

We should be able to  conduct our scientific research without constant fear of an “audit” by Steven McIntyre;  without having to weigh every word we write in every email we send to our scientific colleagues.  In my opinion, Steven McIntyre is the self-appointed Joe McCarthy of climate science. I  am unwilling to submit to this McCarthy-style investigation of my scientific research.  As you know, I have refused to send McIntyre the “derived” model data he requests, since all of the primary model data necessary to replicate our results are freely available to  him. I will continue to refuse such data requests in the future. Nor will I provide  McIntyre with computer programs, email correspondence, etc. I feel very strongly about  these issues. We should not be coerced by the scientific equivalent of a playground bully.  I will be consulting LLNL’s Legal Affairs Office in order to determine how the DOE and LLNL should respond to any FOI requests that we receive from McIntyre.

From Tom Wigley (ousting of a skeptic from a professional organization):

Proving bad behavior here is very difficult. If you think that Saiers is in the greenhouse skeptics camp, then, if we can find documentary evidence of this, we could go through official AGU channels to get him ousted.

From Phil Jones (forging of dates):

Gene/Caspar, Good to see these two out. Wahl/Ammann doesn’t appear to be in CC’s online first, but comes up if you search.  You likely know that McIntyre will check this one to make sure it hasn’t changed since the IPCC close-off date July 2006! Hard copies of the WG1 report from CUP have arrived here today. Ammann/Wahl – try and change the Received date!  Don’t give those skeptics something to amuse themselves with.

From a document titled “jones-foiathoughts.doc” (witholding of data):

Options appear to be:
1. Send them the data
2. Send them a subset removing station data from some of the countries who made us pay in the normals papers of Hulme et al. (1990s) and also any number that David can remember. This should also omit some other countries like (Australia, NZ, Canada, Antarctica). Also could extract some of the sources that Anders added in (31-38 source codes in J&M 2003). Also should remove many of the early stations that we coded up in the 1980s.
3. Send them the raw data as is, by reconstructing it from GHCN. How could this be done? Replace all stations where the WMO ID agrees with what is in GHCN. This would be the raw data, but it would annoy them.

From Mick Kelly (modifying data to hide cooling):

Yeah, it wasn’t so much 1998 and all that that I was concerned about, used to dealing with that, but the possibility that we might be going through a longer – 10 year – period of relatively stable temperatures beyond what you might expect from La Nina etc. Speculation, but if I see this as a possibility then others might also. Anyway, I’ll maybe cut the last few points off the filtered curve before I give the talk again as that’s trending down as a result of the end effects and the recent cold-ish years.

The sexual violence of the left. Atlantic Monthly, “Sarah Palin’s vagina is the font of all evil”

Posted by iusbvision on November 28, 2009

It has gotten this bad folks. Mainstream liberal magazine and the left just goes on like statements like this are OK.

The left has become a cauldron of hate and since GOP voter ID numbers among the base and independents are the highest I have ever seen, it will just get worse as the election draws nearer.

From Robin of Berkeley:

What finally woke me up were the utterances of “bitch,” “witch,” and “monster” toward Hillary Clinton and her supporters early last year. I was shocked into reality: the trash-talk wasn’t coming from conservatives, but from male and female liberals.

I finally beheld what my eyes had refused to see: that leftists are Mr. and Ms. Misogyny. Neither the males nor the females care a whit about women.

Women are continually sacrificed on the altar of political correctness. If under radical Islam women are enshrouded and stoned and beheaded, so be it.

My other epiphanies: those ponytailed guys were marching for abortion rights not because they cherished women’s reproductive freedom, but to keep women available for free and easy sex.

And the eagerness for women to make good money? If women work hard, leftist men don’t have to.

Then along came Sarah, and the attacks became particularly heinous. And I realized something even more chilling about the Left. Leftists not only sacrifice and disrespect women, but it’s far worse: many are perpetuators.

The Left’s behavior towards Palin is not politics as usual. By their laser-focus on her body and her sexuality, leftists are defiling her.

They are wilding her. And they do this with the full knowledge and complicity of the White House.

The Left has declared war on Palin because she threatens their existence. Liberals need women dependent and scared so that women, like blacks, will vote Democrat.

A strong, self-sufficient woman, Palin eschews liberal protection. Drop her off in the Alaskan bush and she’ll survive just fine, thank you very much. Palin doesn’t need or want anything from liberals — not hate crimes legislation that coddles her, and not abortion, which she abhors.

Palin is a woman of deep and abiding faith. She takes no marching orders from messiah-like wannabes like Obama.

And so the Left must try to destroy her. And they are doing this in the most malicious of ways: by symbolically raping her.

Just like a perpetuator, they dehumanize her by objectifying her body. They undress her with their eyes.

They turn her into a piece of ass.

Liberals do this by calling her a c__t, ogling her legs, demeaning her with names like “slutty flight attendant” and “Trailer Park Barbie,” and exposing her flesh on the cover of Newsweek.

And from Atlantic Magazine’s Andrew Sullivan “Sarah Palin’s vagina is the font of all evil in the galaxy.”

Nothing is off-limits, not actress Sandra Bernhard’s wish that Palin be gang-raped or the sexualization of Palin’s daughters.

As every woman knows, leering looks, lurid words, and veiled threats are intended to evoke terror. Sexual violence is a form of terrorism.

The American Left has a long history of defiling people to control and break them. The hard core ’60s leftists were masters of guerrilla warfare, like the Symbionese Liberation Army repeatedly raping Patty Hearst. Huey P. Newton sent a male Black Panther to the hospital, bloodied and damaged from a punishment of sodomy.

The extreme Left still consider themselves warriors, righteous soldiers for their Marxist cause. With Palin, they use sexual violence as part of their military arsenal.

Palin is not the only intended victim. As Against Our Will described, the brutality is also aimed at men. By forcing men to witness Palin’s violation, the Left tries to emasculate conservative men and render them powerless.

The wilding of any woman is reprehensible. But defiling a mother of five with a babe in her arms, and a grandmother to boot, is particularly obscene. It is, of course, Palin’s unapologetic motherhood that fuels the leftist fire.

Because as a mother and a fertile woman, Palin is as close to the sacred as a person gets. She is not just politically pro-life. Her whole being emanates life, which is a stark contrast to the darkness of the Left, the life-despoilers.

These “progressives” are so alienated from the sacred that they perceive nothing as sacred. And they will destroy anyone whose goodness shines a mirror on their pathology. The spiritually barren must annihilate the vital and the fertile.

It has been almost two years since I woke up and broke up with liberalism. During these many months, I’ve discovered that everything I believed was wrong.

But the biggest shock of all has been realizing that the Democratic Party is hardly an oasis for women. Now that it has been infiltrated by the hard Left, it’s a dangerous place for women, children, and other living things.

In the wilding of Sarah Palin, the Left shows its true colors. Rather than sheild the vulnerable, leftists will mow down any man, woman, or child who gets in their way. Instead of a movement of hope and change, it is a cauldron of hate.

National Association of Scholars on the “ClimateGate” Scandal

Posted by iusbvision on November 28, 2009

First of all I appreciate the straight forwardness of the NAS statement. It calls out this scandal as what it is proved to be since the files were verified, a conspiracy among scientists from England, the United States etc some of who are affiliated with the IPCC that deliberately falsified, hid and manipulated data to show warming when there was none. The emails also talk about things like finding ways to discredit the medieval warming period and slandering scientists who dared oppose their conclusions. The emails and files are extensive and completely damning. The now caught scientists claim that the emails are taken out of context is clear. There are so many damning emails and statements in those files that the weak denails are not passing the snicker test.

Climate Conspiracy

November 23, 2009 By Peter Wood and Ashley Thorne .

On Friday, November 20, the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit (CRU) acknowledged to the BBC that its email account had been hacked. The night before, word had gone out on Pajamas Media drawing attention to the release of about 172 megabytes of data that had been anonymously posted to a German website. The email correspondence was from faculty members and researchers involved in the study of climate change and the promotion of the idea that global warming is caused by human activities. It showed researchers willfully distorting data to promote their own views, collusion aimed at suppressing or marginalizing discrepant material, including attempts to prevent the publication of competing scientific ideas, and a general attitude of zealotry for a cause. The CRU files have already blossomed into fetid international scandal.

The National Association of Scholars has never taken an official position on anthropogenic global warming. Our work on sustainability, however, has brought us into contact with scientists who have complained bitterly about the strong-arm tactics used by global warming theory proponents to impede other lines of research. It has become increasingly apparent that the ideological fervency that NAS has documented in the sustainability movement has extended into the scientific journals and funding agencies.

The CRU files go a long way towards documenting the bad faith of the agenda-driven pseudo-science of some of the global warming proponents. The revelations in the emails are certain to be seized by global warming skeptics as proof that the theory is entirely mis-founded. That is, of course, not necessarily the right conclusion. Shoddy science and dubious behavior on the part of some global warming proponents doesn’t mean that the theory itself is specious. What we need is good science—and that requires a fair-minded hearing for those who present alternate hypotheses and data that runs counter to the global warming thesis.

This is not to minimize the CRU scandal. CRU is one of the most important and influential academic centers for climate research. Its views have been granted exceptional weight by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the UN’s most vociferous proponent of global warming theory. CRU’s pronouncements have also substantially shaped the views of Americans who are attentive to the climate change debate. The discovery that numerous scientists at CRU have distorted data, misled the public, and behaved in numerous ways counter to principles of academic and scientific integrity must be weighed very seriously.

Broadly speaking, this scandal will alter the burden of proof. From this point on, proponents of global warming theory will receive no benefit of the doubt. Wanton extrapolations, reliance on models in which data can be endlessly readjusted to fit the thesis, and attempts to stigmatize critics as scientifically illiterate will have to stop. Ad hominem attacks on critics suggesting that they are in the hire of “big oil” or other interests will be seen for the shabby evasions they always were. Let’s hope that the result of this scandal is a restoration of principled inquiry to an important public policy debate.

Bill Ayers Sent the Most Outspoken Conservative Professor in America a Facebook Friend Invite….

Posted by iusbvision on November 28, 2009

What happens when the unrepentant terrorist, communist professor, and Obama ghost writer Bill Ayers, sent the most outspoken conservative professor in America a freind invite?

Dr. Mike Adams is a famed author and scholar. He teaches criminology at UNC much to the chagrin of the university who illegally tried to deny him tenure when he switched from an atheist lefty to a Christian traditional American. Next to the word BOLD in the dictionary is a picture of this guy. Adams makes leftists completely lose it.

Ayers likely had no idea who Dr. Adams was and was probably just trying to network. Since most conservatives get blocked from academics and cant afford the pay cut anyways Ayers had every reason to assume that Dr. Adams was just another far left or Marxist professor.

I bet he knows who Mike Adams is now.

Ouch.. LOL.

I had to add my own comments to the thread:

One could say that forgiveness is the Christian thing to do. BUT before forgiveness doesn’t there need to be repentance? Since Ayers is a self proclaimed unrepentant bomber I concur with you. I wanted to tackle this argument before some lefty tried to use it against you.

and from the history record…

On February 16, 1970, a bomb exploded at a San Francisco, California, Police Department substation, fatally wounding Sergeant Brian McDonnell. McDonnell died of his wounds two days later. A second officer, Robert Fogarty was partially blinded by the bomb’s shrapnel. Although the case has never officially been solved, members of the Weather Underground, including Bill Ayers and his wife, Bernardine Dohrn, were prime suspects.

On October 20, 1981, several members of the Weather Underground undertook the robbery of a bank to finance their terrorist activities. During the robbery the group murdered an armored car guard and two members of the Nyack, New York, Police Department – Officer Waverly Brown and Sergeant Edward O’Grady,. a Vietnam War veteran. Unlike with Sergeant McDonnell’s murder, this case was quickly solved and several members of the group were sentenced to lengthy prison terms.

Bill Ayers, you are one heck of a writer I will give you that, but you are pure evil and in some ways, totally stuck on stupid.  You should repent. If you did and were sincere about it I bet Dr. Adams would be nice to you :-).

UNC Students for a Democratic (Communist) Society Stole Hundreds of Copies of Student Newspaper

Posted by iusbvision on November 27, 2009

This is how radicalized professors are teaching students to behave. You say I am making a leep? Care to challenge me on how many professors and administrators get in trouble with FIRE and ADF and ACLU etc  every year for illegal censorship?…. I didn’t think so.

Via the Carolina Review Daily:

Last spring, some of our staff members noticed that large stacks of our April 2009 issue had gone missing overnight from newsstands in the Undergraduate Library and Hamilton Hall. Considering that this was during exams week, we at the Review doubted that they had all been taken legitimately. We had a long list of possible suspects with a motive to make our April 2009 issue disappear, as the issue had been highly critical of a number of individuals and campus groups. However, we had no evidence of anything.

Until now. One of the groups criticized in the issue was Students for a Democratic Society (”Chapel Hill Hooligans Strike Again”, p. 21). Facebook photos obtained by the Carolina Review show Ben Carroll, the president of Students for a Democratic Society and write-in candidate for Mayor of Chapel Hill, along with Daily Tar Heel columnist Dominic Powell and a third individual, Scott Williams, standing in a pile of destroyed copies of the April 2009 issue of Carolina Review drinking beer and painting their living room. Hundreds of copies of Carolina Review (paid for by your student fee money) were apparently destroyed.

Considering the newsworthiness of this behavior by a candidate for public office, CRdaily is publishing some of the photographs below in order to inform our readers that a mayoral candidate is involved in destroying property, suppressing freedom of the press and censoring dissenting opinions.

These photographs also show how members of Students for a Democratic Society are engaged in a sustained effort to suppress the first amendment rights of those who they disagree with. Last spring, the engaged in violence for political ends against speakers whom they disagreed with. This fall, the Daily Tar Heel was targeted and vandalized with a “special anti-racist issue” placed over their papers. The DTH reacted strongly, even reportedly calling the police and attacked the vandals on their editorial page. Now, we have a staff member from the Daily Tar Heel apparently engaged in even worse behavior.

The left is always telling us how brilliant they are, so brilliant that they put evidence of their crime on Facebook. The missing papers have been found.

Univ. of Minnesota: Agree to Indoctrinate Students Into Marxism or We Won’t Recommend You for Teaching License Approval

Posted by iusbvision on November 27, 2009

This wont take long to generate a lawsuit. Keep in mind folks this is being done by those who claim to have a near monopoly on enlightenment, education and compassion.

Students for Academic Freedom:

In a report compiled last summer, the Race, Culture, Class and Gender Task Group at the U’s College of Education and Human Development recommended that aspiring teachers there must repudiate the notion of “the American Dream” in order to obtain the recommendation for licensure required by the Minnesota Board of Teaching. Instead, teacher candidates must embrace — and be prepared to teach our state’s kids — the task force’s own vision of America as an oppressive hellhole: racist, sexist and homophobic.

The task group is part of the Teacher Education Redesign Initiative, a multiyear project to change the way future teachers are trained at the U’s flagship campus. The initiative is premised, in part, on the conviction that Minnesota teachers’ lack of “cultural competence” contributes to the poor academic performance of the state’s minority students. Last spring, it charged the task group with coming up with recommendations to change this. In January, planners will review the recommendations and decide how to proceed.

The report advocates making race, class and gender politics the “overarching framework” for all teaching courses at the U. It calls for evaluating future teachers in both coursework and practice teaching based on their willingness to fall into ideological lockstep.

Are America’s universities becoming outright subversive?

UPDATE – has some nice coverage of this story HERE.

Sacremento City College facing lawsuit it has no chance to win over student censorship and retaliation.

Posted by iusbvision on November 27, 2009

Here we go again…and again…and again.

How many hundreds of cases does it take and how many lawsuits do universities have to lose before those who claim to have a near monopoly on enlightenment and compassion can learn simple concepts like freedom of religion, freedom of speech and freedom of association?

On Constitution Day, which is mandated by federal law for universities who accept federal funds to celebrate to promote freedom of speech and the Constitution, the administration of Sacramento City College decided that it wanted to censor a student pro-life group’s display. So in order to do that they went to the student government president and demanded that he go and have the pro-life display removed.  The student government president refused saying that doing so would be illegal viewpoint discrimination.  The administration illegally took action to remove the student government president in violation of all due process.

The Alliance Defense Fund, who will likely be suing on the student government president’s behalf, says:

In September, ASG approved the requests of several groups, including a pro-life group called the Genocide Awareness Project, to participate in the college’s Constitution Day.  On the day that GAP erected its display, ASG Advisor Lee Weathers-Miguel and Vice President of Student Services Michael Poindexter objected to it and demanded that Macias have it removed.  Macias explained that he could not do so without violating the group’s First Amendment rights.

Shortly thereafter, Weathers-Miguel removed Macias from an ASG trip to a national leadership conference and refused to explain why.  The Queer-Straight Alliance, a campus group, and Equality California began to gather signatures to recall Macias, and they and ASG members made untrue public statements about him.  The ASG violated its own constitution and bylaws repeatedly by not following rules to validate signatures through the judicial branch, voting to set the recall election by the invalid methods of e-mails and text messages, and attempting to suspend him by an invalid resolution that cited portions of the ASG Constitution which provide no basis or reason for suspending him.  ASG and administrators never even notified Macias that the recall had been scheduled.

According to the ADF letter to the college, “ASG, not Mr. Macias, has failed to follow procedures outlined in its Constitution and Bylaws, and has committed gross negligence in carrying out its public duties and waging an unlawful and retaliatory campaign to force Mr. Macias out of office and punish him for simply refusing to engage in unconstitutional viewpoint discrimination.”

This is Lee Weathers-Miguel:

Lee Weathers

Lee Weathers

Look at this guy, he looks so young and innocent. I placed his picture here so that the American people can see that the face of evil, statist behavior doesn’t always come in the form of a goose stepping little man with a funny mustache.

This clown has a masters degree in counseling. So it is just as we ask in our “About Us” section. How is it that someone can graduate high school with a fundamental understanding of the First Amendment, and the ideals of freedom of speech and conscience, go to college and graduate school and come out having not only no regard for them whatsoever, but take on the behavior of someone who believes he has the power to dictate the conscience of others to the point of using forms of brutality; and then take it so far as to break due process rules and federal law. Unfortunately this is a common occurrence nation wide and lawsuits are filed almost constantly with some universities getting sued over and over again and losing every time.

My upcoming book is going to have plenty of names and pictures.

Just to make sure that the charming picture doesn’t generate too much sympathy for this guy, take a look at a few examples of his behavior from the official documents:

UPDATE – Apparently the cease and desist demand from the Alliance Defense Fund did some good. Steve Macias has been restored as SGA president. More details to follow as we get them.

Posted by iusbvision on November 27, 2009

Look at this video and it becomes clear. FNC has no use for secular leftist elitist culture, whereas the other press outlets cannot escape it and cant think out of that box.

FNC respects its audience.

The Columbia School of Journalism teaches the Walter Lippmann journalistic philosophy which essentially says that people are dumb and cannot be trusted with the awesome power of the vote; therefore the journalists need to be and associate with an elite technical class and carefully decide what information the public is allowed to see and what should be hidden form them so that they may make the “right” (notice not informed) vote.

Journalism schools who teach this philosophy are teaching that leftist elitist propaganda is the hallmark of good journalism.

The elite media behaves as if those who aren’t from NY or LA is a neanderthal from “fly over country”. When you try to manipulate your audience while treating it with utter contempt it is no surprise that Roger Ailes and his FNC can take your audience just like that.

Democrat Prosecutors Refuse to File Charges Against SEUI Thugs Caught on Video Beating Protestors.

Posted by iusbvision on November 24, 2009

It has been more than three months since Kenneth Gladney was viciously attacked by SEIU employees. The assault wasn’t an accident, but a deliberate attempt to intimidate and silence tea party activists and town hall protesters. The morning of the Gladney assault, the White House presented to Senate Democrats a ‘battle plan’ to quell the protests. The White House advised Democrats “punch back twice as hard.” Gladney was the first casualty.

The Gladney beating took place at a forum on ‘Aging’, sponsored by Rep. Russ Carnahan. Carnahan had been caught flat-footed by earlier protests. This time he was more prepared; the day before the forum, Sara Howard took over as his communications director. Ms. Howard is a veteran leftist activist, holding senior positions with SEIU.

SEIU and partisan hacks like Media Matters have tried to spin away the Gladney beating. They would have you believe a 130 lb diabetic, recovering luekemia patient, picked a fight with men almost twice his size. The police report puts an end to that lie.

You can view the police report HERE.

Bob McCulloch, the St. Louis DA, is trying to cover-up SEIU’s crime.

Glenn Beck has a must see segment on this story.

Cash for Clunkers Cost You $24,000 Per Car! Government Efficiency in Action!

Posted by iusbvision on November 24, 2009

It cost you $24,000 to hand out a $4,000 check for each new car that wouldn’t have been solde anyway (and most of that went to Japanese cars).  Why?

One reason: The thousands of bureaucrats hired to administer the program knew that the program was temporary so they tried to extend the program by rejecting as many applications as possible, knowing that denied filers would refile and thus keep their government finding incoming. And these are the people that some want running health care.

White House blows a gasket on Clunkers critique

The Cash for Clunkers program gave car buyers rebates of up to $4,500 if they traded in less fuel-efficient vehicles for new vehicles that met certain fuel economy requirements. A total of $3 billion was allotted for those rebates.

The average rebate was $4,000. But the overwhelming majority of sales would have taken place anyway at some time in the last half of 2009, according to That means the government ended up spending about $24,000 each for those 125,000 additional vehicle sales.

“It is unfortunate that has had nothing but negative things to say about a wildly successful program that sold nearly 250,000 cars in its first four days alone,” said Bill Adams, spokesman for the Department of Transportation.

Large Conventions Moving Out of Chicago Citing City and Union Gouging

Posted by iusbvision on November 24, 2009

Why do I say gouging? By moving their convention to Orlando the plastics industry trade show saved $20 Million.

CHICAGO – The loss of a second trade show that meant big business for Chicago is putting quick and powerful pressure on McCormick Place, the city’s showcase convention center, to combat the impression that the Second City costs too much to visit.

The plastics industry trade show on Tuesday said it is moving to Orlando, Fla., for 2012 and 2015 after nearly four decades in Chicago. The announcement follows a decision by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society last week to move its 2012 annual meeting to Las Vegas. Both shows cited the high cost of doing business in Chicago.

The plastics show said much of the savings in moving to Orlando will be derived from travel expenses, but officials say the high cost of union labor to assemble anything at McCormick put a crimp in exhibitor’s willingness to bring along their sophisticated machines. Seeing those machines in action is critical to buyers.

“With the cost structure in Orlando, we can put on a more high-quality event,” Carteaux said.

By moving to Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center, average exhibitor costs would drop by 48 percent for utilities, 19 percent for on-site hauling and rigging, 23 percent for lodging and 11 percent for travel, the trade group determined in an in-depth study this year.

The group examined detailed bills from the 2009 show, and compared them to projected costs in Orlando in 2012. For example, one exhibitor with a midsize booth paid $6,167 for utility service at McCormick Place, but would see that cut by 43 percent, or $2,648, in Orlando due to lower labor charges, the group determined.

Union work rules are another issue.

The extra labor expense of putting on a show in Chicago is often due to union rules that require certain levels of staffing and don’t permit exhibitors to perform many of the tasks required to build exhibits.

More Traffic Camera Fraud from LAPD.

Posted by iusbvision on November 24, 2009

Be sure to examine our Camera Fruad category.

Via Reason Magazine:

Police Defend, Lie About Devices That Extract Money From and Cause Bodily Harm to Citizens

In Los Angeles, there are 32 intersections outfitted with red light cameras. “The LAPD,” reports David Goldstein of the local CBS television affiliate, “claims accidents are down after they installed cameras, but are they telling the whole truth or just trying to make money off motorists? We crunched the numbers and the results may surprise you.”

Well, they won’t surprise you, maybe, but they’re jarring nonetheless:

We wanted to know actual numbers of accidents at red light camera intersections to see if they really went down.

When we asked, the LAPD became very defensive. The sergeant in charge told me in an e-mail, “The city would hope that it is the goal of KCBS/KCAL to discuss the positive aspects of the photo red light program.”

So we filed a public records request. The department charged us more than $500 for a computer run. When we got the numbers back, they told a different story.

We looked at every accident at every red light camera intersection for six months of data before the cameras were installed and six months after.

The final figures? Twenty of the 32 intersections show accidents up after the cameras were installed! Three remained the same and only nine intersections showed accidents decreasing.

The problem? Motorists see the cameras flash, slam on their brakes, and get rear-ended. Helpfully, the LAPD does not measure rear-end crashes in front of red-light intersections; but only the crashes of people who’ve run a red. Those are down 34 percent, which the department crows about. When confronted with overall intersection data, which tells an unhappier story, the LAPD suddenly says this:

“It would be improper to draw a correlation between all accidents going up and the red light cameras,” a spokesperson from the LAPD said.

How is that Stimulus Working Out for You?

Posted by iusbvision on November 24, 2009

As we stated from the very beginning.  The stimulus was a leftist slush fund that is a boon to government and special interest groups. It was not intended to create jobs which was obvious from the content of the stimulus. Dr. Schiller told them so when they asked him so they can’t claim ignorance (per his lecture at IUSB).

Remember when Obama said that if the stimulus plan wasn’t passed right away unemployment would reach 8.5%. Well now it is 10,2% and when you figure in those who have just given up looking for work it is 17.5% (LINK). This means that almost 1 in 5 members of the workforce are unemployed.

Nice graphic from Mike Pence. The editorializing in the graphic really wasn’t necessary as the numbers speak for themselves.

The second graphic is from “Innocent Bystanders” which has some other stats and graphics from previous months.

Why is unemployment up?

It can be summed up in two words, “no confidence”. NO confidence that those who invest in hiring new people, expanding business or production or making capital investments will lead to a fair return on their investment.

When Obama decided to break the law and go after the bond holders who held those GM bonds in favor of his union friends, who would buy loan bonds in the United States? It has always been the rules that bond holders get paid first even if a company goes out of business. Obama stated that he wants to nearly double the capital gains tax which serves only one purpose, to punish investors by taking their return. One would have to be crazy to invest in bonds or much else under such circumstances. In China the capital gains tax rate is ZERO.

With the administration deliberately trying to make energy (cap & trade energy tax) and health care more expensive who would would to build factories here? Who would want to hire?

With the Federal Reserve printing up money like crazy, setting the benchmark lending rate to zero, the Treasury not acting to protect the value of the dollar and the Democrats quadrupling deficit spending and considering a new bill to force banks to once again make home loans to people regardless of income; who would invest in American financial institutions? Who would wan’t anything to do with the dollar?

No one with a brain could expect anything but greater unemployment and more jobs and wealth going to China under such an environment.

Deficits Rise

When wealth and jobs are chased out of the country that is economic activity that cannot be taxed. This raises deficits.

In the last budget that Republicans had control (2007) the deficit for the YEAR was $211 billion. The deficit for the MONTH of October was $176.36 Billion.

Wall Street Journal:

The federal government kicked off fiscal year 2010 by posting its widest-ever October budget deficit, the Treasury Department said Thursday.

The $176.36 billion gap is more than $20 billion wider than the shortfall recorded in October 2008, driven up by lower tax receipts, stimulus-related revenue reductions and consistently high government outlays.

The 50 Job Lawn Mower

New York Times:

In June, the federal government spent $1,047 in stimulus money to buy a rider mower from the Toro Company to cut the grass at the Fayetteville National Cemetery in Arkansas. Now, a report on the government’s stimulus Web site improbably claims that that single lawn mower sale helped save or create 50 jobs.

Earlier that same month, when Chrysler got a $52.9 million stimulus order for new cars for the government, the struggling automaker claimed that the money did not save a single job.

Those two extremes illustrate the difficulties in trying to figure out just how many jobs can be attributed to the $787 billion stimulus program. Last week the Obama administration released reports from more than 130,000 recipients of stimulus money in which they claimed to have saved or created more than 640,000 jobs, but a review of those reports shows that some are simply wrong, while others contain apparently subjective estimates.

That is a pretty tough indictment considering that the New York Times has been in the tank for the Obama Administration. Ed Morrissey at has more commentary on this part of the story.

CNN sticks up for kid who refuses to say pledge.

Posted by iusbvision on November 21, 2009

This young man says that he refuses to say the pledge until gays are allowed to marry.

The young man has been propagandized by someone most likely. He does not understand that a marriage contract is a contract between two people, their chosen deity and the people of the state.  To force gay marriage is to force the consent of the people to be a part of a legal contract against their will. Judicial fiat is undemocratic. If people in a state choose to vote for gay marriage that is their choice but it should not be forced by some black-robed tyrant.

With that said, if this young man does not want to say the pledge he has rights and they should be respected. Kids may call him names so long as it does not get too disruptive but if it goes passed that the school should clamp down hard. Bullying should not be tolerated.

Everyone knows that the only bullies entitled to legal protection are the SEIU and the Teachers Union.

Good for CNN for sticking up for this kid. I would have too.

President Obama’s political operation took a shot at Sarah Palin today, accusing her of lying on her media blitz.

Sarah Palin on the Dennis Miller Show

Posted by iusbvision on November 20, 2009

This is a good interview. Palin goes more into her record and policy in this interview as opposed to the conflict stuff that the elite media always wants to talk about.

Palin also explains in part her decision to leave the governor’s chair early. MY problem with Palin is that previously she is only told two thirds of the story. She tells how all was left was a lame duck session of the legislature. She had already gotten her legislative agenda through and the Democrats were exploiting a loophole in the Alaska ethics law to cost her family and the State of Alaska millions of dollars.

In this interview she finally put forth the other third of the story, which should have been front and center from minute one. Palin makes it very clear that she could not fight the awful, cruel and hurtful policies of the Democratic leadership while cooped up in Alaska. She had to bring that fight to the lower 48.

University of California Regents Approve 32 Percent Student Fee Increase

Posted by iusbvision on November 20, 2009

UPDATE – Students riot

Socialists spend until they run out of other peoples money and few places are a better demonstration of this than the California budget crisis that regulated, taxed, corrupted and tinkered with its economy to the point where the jobs and wealth are fleeing the state.

So the first group to feel the pain are the ones with the least political power. Young people by and large don’t vote, don’t donate to campaigns and are easily manipulated by emotional appeals in political campaigns and are most likely to vote for the same leftist incumbents, or replace one progressive with another.

By MICHAEL R. BLOOD, Associated Press via Yellowbrix

November 19, 2009

University of California students will get a much larger tuition bill next year.

The Board of Regents on Thursday approved a 32 percent increase in undergraduate student fees, despite protests by hundreds of demonstrators outside the regents’ meeting at UCLA.

By next fall, undergraduate fees will be boosted by $2,500, sending the average annual education cost at a UC campus to more than $10,000.

Regents say they had to raise fees because the cash-strapped state government can’t meet the university’s funding needs.

The decision came as hundreds of students chanted and marched outside the meeting hall to protest the measure. Some students also took over another UCLA building and chained the doors shut.

Police in riot gear kept an eye on the protesters.

THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. Check back soon for further information. AP’s earlier story is below.

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Officers armed with beanbag guns stood by as hundreds of protesters chanted, marched and even took over a building Thursday on the UCLA campus, where University of California regents were scheduled to vote on a 32 percent student fee increase.

The UC Board of Regents is considering boosting undergraduate fees – the equivalent of tuition – by $2,500 next year. The average annual fee for a full-time undergraduate would jump to about $10,300 – three times the cost only a decade ago.

For a second day, the proposal drew demonstrators to the University of California, Los Angeles. Some came from other UC campuses and stayed overnight in a tent city.

The demonstrators outside UCLA’s Covel Commons building chanted, beat drums and waved signs urging “No fee hikes” and “Wanted: Leadership.”

One student was arrested for obstructing an officer. She was cited and released, said UCLA spokesman Phil Hampton.

Campus police in helmets with face shields stood guard outside the conference building. The campus was also being monitored by police from several UC campuses and more than a dozen California Highway Patrol officers armed with beanbag-tossing shotguns.

MSNBC’s Norah O’Donnell Grills Little Girl Over Palin Support

Posted by iusbvision on November 20, 2009

I have seen low, but wow this takes the cake. O’Donnell is engaging in a half truth.

And now for the truth..

Sarah Palin opposed the bailouts and has stated so. Sarah Palin was the VICE-presidential candidate which means that if the Presidential candidate takes a position so do you. Anyone who accepts the VP nomination knows this. Palin went back to her own views after the campaign was over.

Joe Biden had some different policy positions than Obama, Biden conformed.

Dick Cheney had disagreements with President Bush, especially on Scooter Libby and standing up to the administrations critics.  Cheney conformed until he was out of office and is now on the offensive (and his approval numbers are going up).

John Edwards was more hawkish than John Kerry, Edwards conformed to the ticket.

Joe Lieberman had a great many policy differences with Al Gore, especially on Social Security policy, national defense and environmental policy. Lieberman argued for Al Gore’s positions in the debates. Lieberman assumed his old policy positions after the campaign was over. Did MSNBC find a little girl Lieberman supporter to grill over it?

Al Gore was further to the left than Bill Clinton, it is well known that they didn’t get along. Gore played the VP role as the VP role is expected to.

Dan Quayle had domestic policy differences with President Bush 41. I know this because I have talked with VP Quayle about this very subject. Quayle is a Reaganite and Bush 41 never was.

Bush 41 had differences with President Reagan.

LBJ hated JFK and reversed many of his policy positions after JFK was murdered.

Question of the day; why the double standard when it comes to former VP candidate Palin?

Senator Graham Grills Attorney General Eric Holder Over NYC Terrorism Trials

Posted by iusbvision on November 20, 2009

Watch Senator Graham run legal rings around the Attorney General, who by the way has a conflict of interest because his law firm is playing an active role in the defense of these terrorists.

The Obama Administration refuses to give intelligence on the jihadist who killed 14 people at Ft. Hood but is perfectly willing to give national security secrets to 9/11 terrorists as a part of the discovery process with this bone headed move to take enemy combatants and treat them like bank robbers.

There is only one reason for this trial is to have a show trial where ACLU lawyers and lawyers from the Attorney General’s law firm can put the United States on trial as their defense. They will try to get all evidence thrown out by claiming torture and that they werent read their “Miranda” warnings.  This will serve the purpose of putting such claims in the court aqs evidence which canb them be used by so called international courts to invent war crimes charges against members of the previous administration.

Will this happen for sure? We will have to see but opening it up to even the possibility of it is foolish. These are illegal military combatants who should be tried in a military court as this is a martial matter not a criminal one.

Pay close attention to the part where the Attorney General is asked about previous precedent about trying enemy combatants caught on the battlefield in civilian criminal court. Holder doesn’t know the answer to the question. This is very disturbing because precedent is the bread and butter of the law. The first thing any lawyer does is scour the record to see what courts may have ruled on this issue. This is a matter of basic competence.
