UNC Students for a Democratic (Communist) Society Stole Hundreds of Copies of Student Newspaper

Posted by iusbvision on November 27, 2009

This is how radicalized professors are teaching students to behave. You say I am making a leep? Care to challenge me on how many professors and administrators get in trouble with FIRE and ADF and ACLU etc  every year for illegal censorship?…. I didn’t think so.

Via the Carolina Review Daily:

Last spring, some of our staff members noticed that large stacks of our April 2009 issue had gone missing overnight from newsstands in the Undergraduate Library and Hamilton Hall. Considering that this was during exams week, we at the Review doubted that they had all been taken legitimately. We had a long list of possible suspects with a motive to make our April 2009 issue disappear, as the issue had been highly critical of a number of individuals and campus groups. However, we had no evidence of anything.

Until now. One of the groups criticized in the issue was Students for a Democratic Society (”Chapel Hill Hooligans Strike Again”, p. 21). Facebook photos obtained by the Carolina Review show Ben Carroll, the president of Students for a Democratic Society and write-in candidate for Mayor of Chapel Hill, along with Daily Tar Heel columnist Dominic Powell and a third individual, Scott Williams, standing in a pile of destroyed copies of the April 2009 issue of Carolina Review drinking beer and painting their living room. Hundreds of copies of Carolina Review (paid for by your student fee money) were apparently destroyed.

Considering the newsworthiness of this behavior by a candidate for public office, CRdaily is publishing some of the photographs below in order to inform our readers that a mayoral candidate is involved in destroying property, suppressing freedom of the press and censoring dissenting opinions.

These photographs also show how members of Students for a Democratic Society are engaged in a sustained effort to suppress the first amendment rights of those who they disagree with. Last spring, the engaged in violence for political ends against speakers whom they disagreed with. This fall, the Daily Tar Heel was targeted and vandalized with a “special anti-racist issue” placed over their papers. The DTH reacted strongly, even reportedly calling the police and attacked the vandals on their editorial page. Now, we have a staff member from the Daily Tar Heel apparently engaged in even worse behavior.

The left is always telling us how brilliant they are, so brilliant that they put evidence of their crime on Facebook. The missing papers have been found.

Univ. of Minnesota: Agree to Indoctrinate Students Into Marxism or We Won’t Recommend You for Teaching License Approval

Posted by iusbvision on November 27, 2009

This wont take long to generate a lawsuit. Keep in mind folks this is being done by those who claim to have a near monopoly on enlightenment, education and compassion.

Students for Academic Freedom:

In a report compiled last summer, the Race, Culture, Class and Gender Task Group at the U’s College of Education and Human Development recommended that aspiring teachers there must repudiate the notion of “the American Dream” in order to obtain the recommendation for licensure required by the Minnesota Board of Teaching. Instead, teacher candidates must embrace — and be prepared to teach our state’s kids — the task force’s own vision of America as an oppressive hellhole: racist, sexist and homophobic.

The task group is part of the Teacher Education Redesign Initiative, a multiyear project to change the way future teachers are trained at the U’s flagship campus. The initiative is premised, in part, on the conviction that Minnesota teachers’ lack of “cultural competence” contributes to the poor academic performance of the state’s minority students. Last spring, it charged the task group with coming up with recommendations to change this. In January, planners will review the recommendations and decide how to proceed.

The report advocates making race, class and gender politics the “overarching framework” for all teaching courses at the U. It calls for evaluating future teachers in both coursework and practice teaching based on their willingness to fall into ideological lockstep.

Are America’s universities becoming outright subversive?

UPDATE – has some nice coverage of this story HERE.

Sacremento City College facing lawsuit it has no chance to win over student censorship and retaliation.

Posted by iusbvision on November 27, 2009

Here we go again…and again…and again.

How many hundreds of cases does it take and how many lawsuits do universities have to lose before those who claim to have a near monopoly on enlightenment and compassion can learn simple concepts like freedom of religion, freedom of speech and freedom of association?

On Constitution Day, which is mandated by federal law for universities who accept federal funds to celebrate to promote freedom of speech and the Constitution, the administration of Sacramento City College decided that it wanted to censor a student pro-life group’s display. So in order to do that they went to the student government president and demanded that he go and have the pro-life display removed.  The student government president refused saying that doing so would be illegal viewpoint discrimination.  The administration illegally took action to remove the student government president in violation of all due process.

The Alliance Defense Fund, who will likely be suing on the student government president’s behalf, says:

In September, ASG approved the requests of several groups, including a pro-life group called the Genocide Awareness Project, to participate in the college’s Constitution Day.  On the day that GAP erected its display, ASG Advisor Lee Weathers-Miguel and Vice President of Student Services Michael Poindexter objected to it and demanded that Macias have it removed.  Macias explained that he could not do so without violating the group’s First Amendment rights.

Shortly thereafter, Weathers-Miguel removed Macias from an ASG trip to a national leadership conference and refused to explain why.  The Queer-Straight Alliance, a campus group, and Equality California began to gather signatures to recall Macias, and they and ASG members made untrue public statements about him.  The ASG violated its own constitution and bylaws repeatedly by not following rules to validate signatures through the judicial branch, voting to set the recall election by the invalid methods of e-mails and text messages, and attempting to suspend him by an invalid resolution that cited portions of the ASG Constitution which provide no basis or reason for suspending him.  ASG and administrators never even notified Macias that the recall had been scheduled.

According to the ADF letter to the college, “ASG, not Mr. Macias, has failed to follow procedures outlined in its Constitution and Bylaws, and has committed gross negligence in carrying out its public duties and waging an unlawful and retaliatory campaign to force Mr. Macias out of office and punish him for simply refusing to engage in unconstitutional viewpoint discrimination.”

This is Lee Weathers-Miguel:

Look at this guy, he looks so young and innocent. I placed his picture here so that the American people can see that the face of evil, statist behavior doesn’t always come in the form of a goose stepping little man with a funny mustache.

This clown has a masters degree in counseling. So it is just as we ask in our “About Us” section. How is it that someone can graduate high school with a fundamental understanding of the First Amendment, and the ideals of freedom of speech and conscience, go to college and graduate school and come out having not only no regard for them whatsoever, but take on the behavior of someone who believes he has the power to dictate the conscience of others to the point of using forms of brutality; and then take it so far as to break due process rules and federal law. Unfortunately this is a common occurrence nation wide and lawsuits are filed almost constantly with some universities getting sued over and over again and losing every time.

My upcoming book is going to have plenty of names and pictures.

Just to make sure that the charming picture doesn’t generate too much sympathy for this guy, take a look at a few examples of his behavior from the official documents:

UPDATE – Apparently the cease and desist demand from the Alliance Defense Fund did some good. Steve Macias has been restored as SGA president. More details to follow as we get them.

Prager University Video: The Key to Happiness

Posted by iusbvision on November 27, 2009

Dennis Prager is a famed philosopher, author, rabbi, professor, broadcaster and businessman. Prager is now starting his own school with a special focus on critical thinking, ethics and philosophy.

These may be the most important video’s you ever see.

For the record, I have never met a professor who even approaches Prager’s intellectual abilities. You are in for a treat.

The key to happiness.

Happiness is a moral obligation.

Want to see why Fox News is #1 in ratings?

Look at this video and it becomes clear. FNC has no use for secular leftist elitist culture, whereas the other press outlets cannot escape it and cant think out of that box.

FNC respects its audience.

The Columbia School of Journalism teaches the Walter Lippmann journalistic philosophy which essentially says that people are dumb and cannot be trusted with the awesome power of the vote; therefore the journalists need to be and associate with an elite technical class and carefully decide what information the public is allowed to see and what should be hidden form them so that they may make the “right” (notice not informed) vote.

Journalism schools who teach this philosophy are teaching that leftist elitist propaganda is the hallmark of good journalism.

The elite media behaves as if those who aren’t from NY or LA is a neanderthal from “fly over country”. When you try to manipulate your audience while treating it with utter contempt it is no surprise that Roger Ailes and his FNC can take your audience just like that.
