Tea Party Signs vs. Pro Obama March Signs: You be the judge.

Posted by iusbvision on March 30, 2010

Via Pajamas Media and Republican Heretic:

In both cases, citizen journalist bloggers were on hand to document the proceedings with eye-opening photo essays:

El Marco: Tea Party Express rally, Searchlight, March 27

Ringo: Anti-war rally, Los Angeles, March 20

Two rallies, not very far apart in time or location — and yet they couldn’t be more different.

I consider myself neither left-wing nor right-wing, and I disagree with one side or the other on various issues — but after viewing these images, I don’t think there’s any question where I’d feel more at ease.

Below is a sampling of images from each rally. (Click on the links above for the full reports.) Scan them and tell me: At which rally would you feel more comfortable?

Show this essay to people you know who are liberals, or conservatives, or middle-of-the-roaders, and ask them: In all honesty, if you had to choose to be associated with the protesters at either rally, which would make you least embarrassed?

  1. I loved one of the comments at Zomblog which pointed out that the people on the right seemed much more apt to smile. It also seems that people on the left can’t protest effectively unless they dress funny.

    [Yes its great stuff.

I got a response from the IT department of our troll/spammer with a big fat thank you :)

By the way I added you to my link list, you have a very good blog indeed.

I also added a link to your post on this subject as well. – Editor.]

  2. It’s not that people on the left can’t protest unless they dress funny; it’s that they can’t dress, period. Anything other than ripped Che t-shirts and recycled jeans would reek of Capitalism. They switch into nicer clothes and add on their Coach bags once the protest is over and the cameras are gone.

If you were trying to show how the tea party had better signs than the lefties…you could’ve picked some better signs.

[Hey there ace – I didnt pick the signs or the pics, I showed you what was there. Of course if you just followed the links and read you would have known that, but don’t tell me, your parents tossed all your encyclopedias when you turned 17 because you informed them that you already knew everything…

Note to readers, I am hard on commentors who obviously do not bother to actually read the post before they comment. – Editor]

So the libtards have stupid signs, too. Big shock there, though I feel the dude in the keffiyeh on the bicycle should be on the ‘look at that f***ing hipster’ website instead of here. Still, a nice break from the “see the idiot tebagger signs!!11” posts on digg. Thanks to whoever linked to here.

Guess it goes to show that along the entire political spectrum, there is a subset of people who should not make signs.

Great collection- really shows how Republicans skew reality to favor their beliefs. I especially love the first picture of Palin, the American flag, and her name written in the sky. Sarah Palin couldn’t even make it through a full term AS GOVERNOR. That’s who I want as my VP… and she also plans on running for president? We’re all doomed.

So in just under 3 years what did Sarah Palin accomplish?

She uncovered corruption that involved much of the Alaska Republican machine, some went to jail, some were fined, many were forced out of office and politics. The Murkowski machine was a corrupt disgrace (Palin just vanquished Senator Lisa Murkowski by campiagning against her so Palin just finished what she started).

Palin got ethics reform in the Alaska Energy Bureacracy so the oil companies could no longer toy with it. As a result the people of Alaska are getting compensated properly now.

Palin lowered the state budget while increasing state services.

Palin lowered the state Medicaide backlog by 83%.

Palin lowered the governors expense budget by 80% from the previous governor (and the left still said she was spening too much and used sexist attacks against her by claiming she should not have the state pay to bring her young children along with her when she traveled – how sexist is this against moms with young kids?).

Palin forced through new ethics laws that cover Alaska state employees.

Palin forced through a new state bidding process that eliminated the old system that was wracked with cronyism and corruption.

Palin accomplished everything thats she ran on as a governor candidate in less than 3 years. Facing a final lame duck session in the Alaska legislature (nothing gets done in lame duck sessions generally) Palin decided to energize the Tea Party and to take on Barack Obama on a national scale, which could not be done from Alaska so she resigned. There is no doubt about how effective she has been in that role.

When Palin was running for VP, she put together a mobile governor’s office and was able to finish getting her work and agenda passed and implemented in Alaska.

Obama started running for President half way through his term and never held even one hearing of the foriegn policy subcommittee which he chaired. Obama authored/passed no significant legislation as a Senator. He sat on his chair and milked the paycheck and underrepresented the people.]

By the way, after going to the website with the pictures from the “Pro-Obama” rally you’re using as an example, the first picture is ANTI-OBAMA! Those aren’t liberals, they all believe in 911 conspiracies (which happened during Bush’s presidency) and are pro-Palestine. You would be a great reporter on Fox News, they love this type of bullshit reporting!

What is left out of your comment is a little bit of thinking. The link clearly states that it is an “anti-war” rally (which has many who want Jews pushed into the sea but thats another story) and these are lead by a cadre of far left organizations including groups like ANSWER. Now let me ask you a question, who did these groups support during the election? …In fact who did these groups aggressively support during the election. In fact (even though his message changed depending on the group he was in front of) what presidential candidate was telling these groups about the immediate, than moderated to quick withdrawal from Iraq and other places? Just because the far left has now turned against Barack Obama for misleading them doesn’t mean that these are now generally pro-McCain/Palin people now are they? How many McCain/Palin voters are in that crowd?

Also this camparison is still valid because it is these anti-war groups that put on the far left’s biggest protests and it is the Tea Party who puts on the largest right/traditionalist protests; so a comparison is prudent. Now everything I just told you here is rather obvious to most normal, thinking people who pay attention. So maybe you need to ask yourself a question.]
