Waiting For Superman: If You Really Want ‘Social Justice,’ Dismantle the Teachers Unions

This is the film that may be a catalyst for real change in our education system.
A kid should not have to hope to get picked in a lottery for a chance at a good education. The few charter schools that are allowed to exist are there to placate the parents who KNOW what is going on in public schools and get them out of the way so the union can more easily control school boards that spend between $7000 – $30,000 per year per student and get the results we have been seeing. Some say “our public school is fine”, I ask “compared to what”.
