The American tradition has been to liberate and/or recognize African Americans before American Indians and women. The current American system, where Obama is president, can be interpreted as an attempt to recognize the injustices done to African Americans by America which may have been illuminated by Katrina. However, I think placing the cause of the African American before the American Indian is, in someways, an attempt by America to condescend on Native Americans and African Americans by inferring a Biblical concept of retribution such as, “My (America’s) servants (African Americans) shall eat, but you (Native Americans) shall go hungry.” Another American tradition has been to compare itself to Russia or compare others to Hitler so as to seem more civilized or less evil, but, in my opinion, the evil that America embodies is incomparable. Only it remains ensconced in a web of deceit and a desire to betray.
Isn’t it the age old wisdom of a thief to – for every dollar they take – give back a penny as a favor until a dollar accumulates again; then take the dollar and remove the favor?
